Here is my ROTF Sideways repaint. So far I only have a small portion of his car mode completed. Just need to finish painting the parts of the car that aren't silver leaf that. Then the lights and finish up with the black parts on his car mode. Once that's done he'll receive a coat of gloss cote.

Then, his car mode will be repainted via dry brushing and repainting of the red parts to black. Once that is finished he should be done.

    Any comments are completely welcome.

    Thanks a lot guys!

Here are more pics of the car mode.
The car will get a few shots of loss to give it that car shine.

No, there is no "real black stripe" on his bumper, but check out these pics I have been using. There is a black stripe with a few silver parts, I just cut a corner by leaving the silver out. There is also no stripe on his side, but I felt the need to, well, I was going to remove it.

    maybe this will help.
You know those clear bendy rulers? Could you use that and maybe a silver sharpie to do those stripes on the hood?

The sharpie is a great idea, but yet that isn't the silver I am looking for. i think i may just try to free hand them with some paint and a straight edge. not sure yet. Thanks though bro!

I put 3 stripes going down the middle of my Sideways today. I did it 1 at a time. First I marked the centers with a pencil on the hood and roof only by eye. Then I masked around them with masking tape, and "painted" the line in with a silver sharpie. Against the black paint, the silver sharpie looks very bright. I did the same for the remaining lines. It came out looking really good, but the only real problem I had was that the masking tape can't be smoothed down tightly enough, so there was some bleeding of the silver ink. If you can find a way to create a perfect mask, then I highly recommend the silver sharpie method.
