Hey guys, while I'm putting the final touches on some projects, I figured I'd render some images during down time. Here's ROTF Seaspray, but he's in my classics collection. You guys let me know if he should or shouldn't be in the Classics lineup.
Hope you guys enjoy the art work.

I picked Classics as I don't have a ROTF collection (shudders at the thought)

    Very nice. :thumbs2:

Classics, hands down. He looks more like a G1 character that has an updated look (which is what the Classics is all about, really) more than a character rendered in the Movie aesthetic.

Currently only buying classics. No ROTF or DOTM toys. I mean, have you seen the laserbeak figure!?

Glad so far everyone agrees with me. I don't understand how the movie figures do so good for Hasbro. They look horrible for the most part. There are some like Seaspray here and the new DOTM Skyhammer that look pretty cool and seem to fit with other lines but for the most part, they weren't good figures. Then again, I'm not to crazy about the character designs of the movies either.

I actually like the head the way it is. He looks like a scuba diver.

What I'd like to do is a classic depth charge. Anyone got some cool ideas for vehicles?

It'd be along the lines of a Cybertronian mode (kinda), but HFTD Terradive makes a good Depthcharge, IMHO. I believe someone (maybe a couple people) here on TFW repainted one, and it actually looked really nice in both modes. I could see it as a BotCon exclusive one of these days.

As an artist, you can always make some tweaks so it wouldn't be a straight-up repaint. ;)

Yo man, i smiled when i saw your render of his vehicle mode. Gotta be honest this is one nice piece! The robot mode can't properly swivel at the torso and that kinda messes up that one pose, but otherwise robot mode is epic as well.

Now that I see either 'FOOTBALL" or a big chested beach dude wearing minor scuba gear, a baggy white shirt, baggy blue shorts and flip-flop-flippers, Classics.

Nice model I like it. ps. there's no way he's supposed to be movie styled. He's waaaaaay to boxy and awesome to be a movieverse Seaspray.

I agree 100% with you. The new DOTM skyhammer looks like he can fit in the classics line also.
