maybe it's time I started posting here too instead of just looking at what is going on here.
I just finished two autobots and here is one of them:"ROTF Bumblebee"

    color pallette remains the same
extra tiny autobot logo on his head
and new licence plate on the car and his body (otherwise they didn't match)

the roof of the car is attached to his back so his arms are free and I recently noticed that's where it goes in the movie as well... good for me :)

... so, here's my first post on TFW2005 ... enjoy!

Excellent, great detailing. Looks like I may be a "first poster", in which case - welcome aboard.

How did you attach the roof to his back - that is MUCH better, a big improvement, and one I don't recall seeing before. Be tempted to try that myself...

Looks great! I'd like to know how you attached the roof to his back as well. Does it now involve partsforming?

Welcome to Radicons. I'm gonna try this on mine too.

How did you paint on the tiny symbol?

That looks amazing - but if it's not parts-formed, it'll have to be a tiny hinge (though I frankly have no idea how you'd make it - but I'm dying to learn!)

    thx

thanks for your comments and questions. hope Im able to answer

autobot logo is a decal, painting that small is ... well ... impossible (i guess)

the roof is actually quite simple because there is just no room for exra joints or hinges. It just clicks off the arms and attaches between the shoulders and hood-piece with a magnet (although you don't need a magnet to attach the roof to his back - the shoulders when transformed hold the roof parts in place very well - )
the magnetes attract eachother through the plastic of the roof this way they stay invisible at all times. they do not make direct contact.

When transforming back to alt mode the room just clicks back on the arms (as the last step in the transformation otherwise they keep falling off)

hope that makes kind of sense otherwise,
more info and pics on this roof tweak you can find HERE

...there's a little room on the inside of the roof by the back windows, is it not possible to mount a hinge to rotate the rear windows to be backwards & make BB's lower wings?

However, I mean no disrespect, you've given BB here the best mod I've seen yet - especially true since you didn't add anything to him...

If you are willing to cut up the roof and make a hinge on this front window, it would be possible to fold the roof like this. but I fear that the glue wouldn't stand a transformation.
If I could make new molds for the roof I would do that.
I'm not equipped to do that at this point... maybe later.

but a magnet is a lot simpeler... but indeed not as sexy.

That is awesome! With the roof panels on the back, I didn't even noticed that is WAS the ROTF Bumblebee with the gun arm. I thought you just swapped head with the first movie BB and then did the mod. It also fills up the back nicely. Makes it more accurate.

    thanks man,
and yes a Leader Jetfire is an unavoidable custom on my list, but I don't own him yet, he's still too expensive.

Paints are always combinations of multiple colors, I almost never use a color that comes from one jar.
the yellow color was nasty , I couldnt find an exact match so I had to make it myself (but Im sure its out there)
I believe all colors on this one were done with emaille paint.

Love the magnet mod. I see you used those magnets same as on Blackout. Where would one go about getting them? THIS mod I think I could do.
