    According to Comingsoon.net Paramount Pictures has moved up Transformers Revenge of the Fallen to June 24th. This is awesome news! Now that's two days less i have to wait to see the movie!

    That's a Wednesday. Good news. 2 less days waiting.

    They most likely moved it up in an attempt to beat the box office weekend record. Movies that open midweek get extra days added onto their "weekend" totals. They also can make more money because these days most people go see movies the weekend they come out. Two extra days tends to stretch out perceptions about what a weekend is, and in the long run, those two extra days end up resulting in a higher total ticket sales by the time it's out of theaters.

    moving up to a wednesday means more money earned on the opening extended weekend.

    awesome news and if this is now the official release date it will most likely have an 8pm showing on Tuesday the 23rd to act as it's "midnight showing"

    They did the same thing for the first movie.

    yes last time it was supposed to be july 4th but then they made the official date July 3rd with an early 8pm showing on July 2nd, a monday
