Here is a quick Ratchet repaint that I recently finished. I added a balljoint to his neck, and cut away some excess plastic from his left wrist to allow for hand articulation. He was fully repainted, and topped off with the nice Reprolabels set for him. The big addition was a custom built gun that attaches by sliding in to the slot left by his axe blade (which I glued in place..it was silly!) I used a wood cutting bit from my Dremel kit, and made a good stand in for his saw (thanks for the idea Hakka!) Truck is virtually unchanged, but I will get pics up once the clear coat has cured for another 24 hours.
    Enjoy!

The gun looks really good. What did you use? I have to agree, I always thought that axe was pointless. I turned mine into a life support monitor/computer. Nice paint job too by the way.

Heh, your repaint makes me appreciate this mold a bit more. I like how you drybrushed the inner robot parts so he doesn't look so much like one massive
    green block anymore.

Dude, I LOVE than gun. ratchet is my favorite toy from the Movie lines (other than ROTF Prime) but I hated he lacked any real firepower. This totally owns, and the decals looks slick!

You talented bastard!!!! It's not gonna replace that Joker vinyl statue as my PC wallpaper, but it comes damn close! :thumb

Amazing work - the gun's as close as I can remember it looking, and the paintjob's top notch :thumb

You're making me REALLY second guess whether to get the $10 Ratchet or grab this mold offa eBay...

I am finally getting the auction ready for this guy, so I will have alt-mode pics within the next couple of days.
felks22us: I just used a soldering iron to heat the pin, and then yanked it off. The remaining spot is perfect for tapping in a posted ball joint. Be careful grinding an appropriate size hole on the head, however, or you will end up having to find a bigger ball joint!
