    ROTF toys found in Australia

I grabbed both of them tonight at the Target in the Highpoint city shipping mall, Maribyrnong, Victoria.

I've only found these two characters' toys out the rotf line thus far in the store and the shop clerks provided no information on whether they would be getting other rotf toys any time soon too. I'm gonna go check the CBD Target branch tomorrow during the day.

It costs 28.99 AUD (apx. 22 USD) each.

At the time there were four Bumblebees and two Soundwaves spotted on the shelf and a couple 25th anniversary classic voyage Infernos alone with them, costed 24.99 AUD (apx. 19 USD) each.

In addition, the TRU and Big W at the same location haven't got any rotf toys yet at this point.

The first sightings of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen preview toys: Deluxe Bumblebee and Soundwave have been spotted(and bought) from a Target store in Wollongong, to the south of Sydney by OTCA member Tiby.

The figures retailed for AU$29 each.

For pictures of the confirmed sale, please click here.

And it seems that the Wollongong Sighting was not a one-off, with a second sighting of both preview figures from a Target store on Queensland's Gold Coast posted on the OTCA Boards by member NoenGaruth.

The main line of Transformers ROTF figures are set for release in Australia on May 30th 2009.

Jeeez.. you Aussies get so boned on the prices of your figures down there.

Gratz on the lewts! I'm hoping the "preview" figures actually hit the shelves earlier than the 30th here in the states.

The price of deluxes here just keeps going up. It was sitting around the $25 or $26 mark until the last 6 months or so. With our dollar gaining against the US dollar I think we're back to the point of it being cheaper to order these guys straight from US sellers.

I can't believe the Target sale on Universe Voyagers at the moment! I picked up Inferno and Leo Primer earlier in the week In Hobart Tasmania because they're cheaper than Deluxes... Just giong to run out of work for the moment to see if they have the preview figures. Luckily Target is in the building on the next block! :)

We've had a few sales, but they've stayed fairly constant between $25-$30, and a couple of dollars doesn't really make a difference to me.

And getting them from US is too much hassle for me. Most of the good deals don't ship to Australia.

they were behind the dozens of leader magnuses. i went back today, couldn't find them again, so either someone snapped them up or the staff realised they'd jumped the release date.
