Finally. Been busier than it looks, but got the chance tonight to take some pics of Power-Up Prime. In the future, I hope to build a concept art accurate (non-transforming) LED galore Power-Up Prime, however this one here is composed of the following ROTF Leader figures:

    Optimus Prime
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/accardi1/sets...57620820442660/

    Jetfire
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/accardi1/sets...57620655860081/

In addition, I made some modifications to the combination. Jetfire's nose sits in the shoulders (they actually wedge in nicely) and are (still) detached from his forearms) I think the way they follow the shoulders is a lot more accurate. Looking at the art, he's got some big big toes/feet, so I added some magnetically attached feets on his feets. There are 2 small wings which flair out from behind his wheels on his lower legs, they also clip around and onto the sides... and 2 small wings from the sides of his chest.

Wait until you see his arsenal of weapons.....

He looks amazing Mike. My single gripe? The tires. The Prime/Jetfire combo looks like it leapt off the bigscreen, yet the tires still look like toy tires.

Protip from my old model car-building days: Scuff the treaded portion with fine sandpaper. It smooths the tread ever-so slightly and dulls the shine, making them look like they've been rolling on rough pavement. Oh, and it removes any casting lines, like the one down the centers of these ones.

Oh, and be careful to only do the treaded portion, that leaves a bit of shine on the sidewalls, adding to the authenticity!

    thank you.

Thanks so much. they are coming. so many of them too. dual rail guns with belts of ammo, axe, dual BFGs with lights and sounds, single rail gun, single gun (that came with it) maybe more if I am getting into it....

I was unsure about the feet, but really liked how they look (especially if you compare how terrible the feet look without the "addons") They are feet from Gundams. Luckily, I had 2 of the same one, that and some styrene and parts from neo-shifters and magnets to hold them into place.

Thanks. That's a cool idea. I didn't do anything to the rubber tires on him, I kinda wanted to keep Prime "clean" looking while in alt form. I will (again) revisit prime for a mega-battle damage approach though, mud, rust, etc.
