    Yeah. working on prime now.

painted his terrible grey bits in Black. so I could paint silver or metalic colour over him.

not sure about painting his helmet black tho..

Again, just black somehow makes the figure pretty cool.

I opened up his windshield and painted the inside. I think I screwed up on putting back his chest, as the spring dont seem to work...

Updated some metalic works on him.

    still not finished yet.

Im gonna stay tuned for this one, as Im planning to repaint that boring grey plastic of my ROTF prime as well

what are you planning to paint over the black? I think I'm gonna make mine silver

did you unscrew every part that would block or could get affected by the paint?

got any pictures over your development? am very interested ^_^

I will probably paint my Testors gunmetal or armored steel over black.

I didn't unscrew every part. only part I unscrewed was his chest bit.

    no.

you'll need to get hobby paints at a hobby store, or online (what I usually do)
shame about the spring, I don't mess with the inner workings of these leader classes, usually when I take apart anything with a spring, I see a spring fly across the room, and am like "shit, where did that come from"

you could get metallic paint from games workshop, pretty sure there's in your country
"gun metal" works pretty good, thats what i used when i started painting figues.
i my case i used normal paint from hobby shop,(double star paint) try mixing a little bit of light blue with silver and burnt metal, it really feels like an alien metal

i unscrewed the chest piece but didnt seem to come off, what did you do ??yank it out ?
i'm obsessed to finish the repaint with the chest piece painted ....but still can't find a way..

Are you saying that the chest piece can be opened? The same chest piece that's covering the speaker? Interesting...

BTW, nice work walt7. Are you finishing it right now? Or are you reading my post? Coz if you are.. then can you tell me how you get that part the back of the lower leg painted? Did you manage to open the blue panel? If you did, can you tell me how? Thanks!

Dude, the black looks pretty cool, and would likely look badass combined with Jetfire as is.

LOL! That happens to me every time! First it's "shit, where did that come from?" Then it's "shit, where did it go?" Then it's "shit, how do I put it back?" :lol

unscrew the windshield bit and take those gears out. paint them. put them back how they were. (and.. I failed to do this perfectly..coz I dont think I put my gears as they were but the toy works still ok...) Thanks for the tip for mixing up some paint to creat metallic red and blue. might not have to buy one from the shop.

I just paint my toys with my brushes.

I usually don't unscrew my toys and I don't mask my toys.
