I like him, but hate either the design or color of his head. how do you think he would look with his head painted either black or silver?

It plugs into the gun armature in robot mode to lock the whole backpack together.

Black MIGHT work, I think if you went for Silver you'd have to paint ALL of that beige plastic to keep it form sticking out too much.

Thanks Peaugh. I thought that was what it was for but, I couldn't get it in for the life of me. Brute Force helped. Thanks again.

anyone else notice the instructions show that cab hinge as being assembled backwards? I wondered if mine was assembled wrong when i saw that, it pegs in, but the whole arm the cab is on doesnt fold up, it mostly stays straight, doesnt peg in very well either, probably the most annoying part of him.

Mine is the same way... The cab hinge can fold slightly but the post is entered at an angle.

All in all, I dig this guy a lot. It's great how he can be configured multiple ways, my only complaint.. the joints on mine are pretty loose. Once in position I need to resist the urge to mess with it and just walk away, then bask in the awesomeness.

If I can't find the Fallen tomorrow, this is the next figure on my list to get. Definitely my favorite of the Constructicon designs, he just looks really really cool.

Yep. Mine's like that too. The hinge on the toy is one way, which blocks it from folding the way the instructions tell you. I thought I was missing a swivel joint at first.

Reallllyy nice figure. Transforming him back to vehicle is annoying because of his arms, but I'll prob get it down. Love all the articulation in his arms. Too bad the ladder on mines is warped!

I kinda went back and forth on this figure; first I wasn't going to get him, then I was, then it moved to maybe.
Well I got him the other day, and even while transforming him it went from, this is really neat-to-I really hate this piece of crap!...And then back to, he's rather neat.

Mix has some of the most annoying arm cibble I've seen lately on a transformer; especially the wheels, it gets really fiddly to pose his arms.
The solid truck cab on his butt also bugs me. That was almost the main reason I skiped on this guy. I really wish they could have had it fold up onto it'self a bit so it didn't look so much like he has a truck for an ass.

All in all though, he's a neat figure. His overall design actually has a lot of character when you pose it right.

Great figure, though the truck butt had me confused as to whether I was transforming him correctly.

Mixmaster is one of those figures, I feel, that can be a little off-putting to those who are used to a more humanoid design. Like Rampage, Mixmaster is a monsterish design and very awkward at first to get used to, but also like Rampage can he really benefit from thinking outside the humanoid robot box and embracing the inner beast.

Forget about his third "artillery mode". His design begs him to be posed hunched, his arm panels guarding him as he fires on far away targets.
