I just finished up on this guy, and I am very happy with how he came out. The modification to the rear wheel assembly, and the neck ball joint make a world of difference. The only other thing I may try to fix on my next one, is to add a wrist swivel. Right now it looks like he is perpetually ready to carry melons, or describing what Simmons saw beneath Devastator. I tried to stick very closely to Josh Nizzi's concept art. This is one of the few movie figs I am keeping, as I love the design, but I am going to take another crack at Long Haul here soon to REALLY push him over the top. Thanks for checking him out, and enjoy!
looks great. Its cool to see a picture of this mold kind of crouched down a little bit. Helps alot with the lanky look.
wow dude. i wasnt gonna grab this guy cuz i thought he looked terrible to what hes supposed to be but that paint job makes me want to buy him.
Only things i would suggest would be to paint the swords and retain his mech-alive. (also get us a damn tutorial dammit! )
*ha* I am in the process of planning another one, so I will do a tutorial as I build that one. The mech-alive gimmick in his chest was one of the lamer of the series, and it messed with the possibility of getting a ball joint in the area. Swords don't fit for Long Haul, so they are being replaced with something else........soon!
Flame throwers! Definitely have to do Flame throwers. And in that tutorial, if you could mention some of your weathering tricks? I've got a few, but I really want to broaden how it's done. I'd love to see what you do. Great job--I've been waiting for a good Long Haul Overhaul
