Well, I thought I would show everyone what I am doing while I am waiting on the finger rubber to get in!!! After get back in the game with my LEDs and customs, I have started on a project that I had in mind when I first saw ROTF LEADER Prime. And apparently some good buds (F-R and BH) have teamed up with the same ideas. Can't wait to see that!!

I wanted to the cab lights and side runner lights, breather lights, headlights(in at least robot mode, maybe alt mode), and tail lights. I will use the batteries all ready there and hidden ones every where else. I figured I would do this with LEDs, but thank you Big Hank for the idea about the fiber optics!!!!! Found a light thing at the "AS SEEN ON T.V." store for $8.00. Got the battery packs and switches. Also will be adding the chains to the back of the cab.

I have also ordered the stencils from FRENZY-RUMBLE, a must have no doubt!!! The time and frustration saved!!! Well worth it!!!!

So the Primes(one super clean and 2 battle damaged) have been painted with different HOK metallic paints. I still am working on the front of the hood. So far I have a orange/red/copper base with an orange candy over that. But the pics kinda show all red.

    Update 6-31-09

Here is the "sketch" as I like to call it for the Prime head lights. This is the Battle damaged version that will be in the DIORAMA. That is why he is missing a couple of cab lights.

    update 7-2-09

LED headlights and eyes. All connected with floating switch and grounded 3 volt battery and pack in the top of the "sleeper".

    Thanks sir!!
Yes, they are not in place yet.

A floating switch is a new term I have made up. I have found it easier, to keep transformation possible, to just have the battery pack secure and leave the switch were it can be moved and placed in other positions when in the alt mode.

For instance. This switch will stay between the two panels on the back on top of the battery. In truck mode, this must be moved while the battery stays on the top inside of the sleeper. So, move the switch, transform and place the switch on top of the "shoulder" area next to the battery.

EDIT: never mind. Found it on wikipedia. Wow, didn't know that those trucks have a bunk installed.
