Well he is supposed to be a really old transformer Personally, I like this Jetfire toy, can't wait to grab it. And I hope his full sized toy is HUGE in both modes. The SR-71 Blackbird is an awesome jet and deserves at least leader class.
He appears to have the same proportions as the other decepticons - as in: kind of ogrish. As soon as I saw him, I was like WTF? Jetfire is a decepticon? The scratched-up symbol provides relief, as it would appear he switches sides. Hopefully they'll make a leader-class toy of him and then fill him up with batteries and electronics so that he's about as uncomplicated (and unsightly from the side) as Universe Silverbolt. Won't that just be grand? Like every other Hasbro plane, he can look like a proper plane only from a top-down view. Whee! (God, I'm hoping that turns out to be pessimistic and not, well.... TRUE)
Glad to see I'm not the only one who sees that. I love the Maxx and all, but I'm not sure it's an appropriate look for Jetfire.
Hello! Its legends class figures. What do you expect? A good looking legend class toy with superposable??
Yeah we haven't seen any toys that were above Legend class. But if they are giving Optimus a legends class, then Jetfire probably has a larger class also. I think these two were just released because they kind of join together. Like full size scorponok did with blackout. They hook up but aren't to scale with eachother. They only do so because it's a little gimmick that is tied into how they connect in the film. They'll probably release at least a Leader class Jetfire that can connect with a Voyager or Leader Optimus.
The longer I look at him the more it looks like his "Maxx Teeth" can fold down to make a mini chest, Not to mention (despite his lower chicken legs) he looks like he can go from hunched Decipticon mode, to a more "erect" 'Bot mode.
From all the pictures I have seen of jetfire it looks like he does have a decent poseability for legends class. I only would have wished that the neck of the SR-71 blackbird wasn't so long or at least fold to make it shorter when it is in robot mode.
Holy Lord, Jetfire looks totally gay! Just make him like the original red and white Jet and all would of been happy! Good God stop making them into f**king ******ed looking gobots!
Words fail me as well. Anyone using 'gay' as an insult has problems if you ask me. Back to the point of the thread, Prime is highly improved from his original Legends form. Jetfire looks a bit wierd, but that's Legends class for you.
Well, I think we are discussing all like if these legend toys would be THE SAME as the bigger and more detailed toys that will come later. I also hope the combined mode would be absolutely freaking cool in the bigger toys. Jetfire's beeing a Decepticon reminds me a lot what happened during G1, he started as a Decepticon but he changed to an Autobot. MAybe this will happend here again. Let's wait and see.
Whoever said that thing about Jetfire probably not surviving the movie? I think you're exactly right. I think he pulls a Superion and takes one for the home team.
