Hey all, just got my haul of ROTF toys (they have been released slightly early over here in the Netherlands)..but I noticed something slightly shitty. Instead of Optimus and Megatron saying 'I am Optimus Prime' and 'I am Megatron', it seems the figures say 'Optimus Prime' , and for Megatron 'Megatron! *maniacal laugh*' Does anybody know if this is a change made for the European market, or that maybe there is a switch on the figure to enable full lines? I'm slightly bummed about this..
in europe prime says optimus pruime, and has in vehicelemode a motorsound (us-version hasnt, as far iu know) Megatron says megatron hahahha (very dirty laugh) The us doesn t laugh. Has the us-version the kaboomn-sound of the cannon like the eu-variant?
the us version has the motor sound. just like the europe one. just look @ the back on the cab. yes and mine says Optimus 2 damn european version
I don't know about Megs, but Prime just says 'Optimus Prime'. The little button on the back has truck sounds in both modes.
Yes, truck sounds are present in both European and 'regular' versions... I guess they changed the lines for the non-English speaking children..but it sucks. They didn't change the lines for Animated (back then I was really fearing they would)...now my own robo Peter Cullen won't be able to say his full line
not so bad after all..and it actually makes sense for countrys that don't speak english...although for us, die-hard fans, it sucks!
Sounds like there is a flaw already. Like Universe Onslaught's siren only do the police siren "Whoop" once instead of a number of times.
