This is my second Prime, if I ever find another Jetfire he will become a heavily customized powered up Prime.

There are LEDs in place in the 4 headlights on the chest and a blue one in the head but I have not done the wiring, I will put LEDs in the afterburners and wire it all up in one go.

I dismantled this figure for painting, all my others I painted assembled. I'm pretty happy with the paint job with the exception of the silver panels above his windows. I used the wrong paint for the base its too thick, I'll redo them at some stage.

The gun was the one I made a while back that I was using for Ratchet. I added some more parts to bulk it up a bit. I would still like to make a BFG for the other hand.

The forearm mod is similar to my other Prime, but it doesn't have the parts under the top end of the panel. I think I will change my other one to match this, it gives the forearm a slimmer look.

I cut the mounts off, shortened them and stuck the wheels back on.

Wow! This looks like a premium collector's edition statue! I would kill to have my Prime like this. I love the scratches. How did you get them so darn straight?

I can't wait for the Jetfire combo, supreme Prime with LED's. Keep up this great work!

    A couple of things though:
    - You should really look into getting a pair of side mirrors. The original mirrors look very wrong and some modelkit mirrors would work wonders.
    - AFAIK the smokestacks should be a bit shorter and cut at an angle. I might be wrong on the angle though.
    - The cannon looks very cool though it looks like it's missing the last piece of barrel. It looks more like cannon (a pirates/ VOC cannon) then a rifle. Adding a smaller diameter barrel in the end would make it look perfect!

    Just my thoughts.

The scratches were done with 3 different brushes, I used my 'drybrushing' brush to scuff up the edges, I did the same I would do for a drybrush but with a little extra paint, I then touched the side of the bristles (about half way up) along the edge of the figure.

I have a brush that is completely stuffed, it has about 10 bristles all going in different directions, I used this for small scuff marks on the flat surfaces.

I used my pinstripe brush for the longer scratches, it is a long thin brush with 90% of the bristles removed. If you do a very fast brush stroke it helps with the straightness, but you also need to make sure its just the tip of the brush that makes contact or it will be too wide.

I have 3 different diecast trucks here but all the mirrors are too big, I'll keep an eye out though.

I just matched the length of the stacks to the rubber ones, they should have an angle cut, I did try that but I was cutting by hand and couldn't get it to look neat enough. I'll try again when I get my Dremel back.

Good idea on the gun, it actually has a smaller barrel inside the big one, I'll see if I can extend it.

I was just about to ask what was your treatment on the scratches but I read your post above. I love the scratches!!!!

The revised arm panels look a 1000x better than you last prime but I wish they were angled/flared out instead of sitting flush and flat. However, it does slim down the arm......

I'm sort of deciding on making mine flush or keeping them how it is.

If your going to make this non-transformable, why not take off more kibble?

I want to keep the battery pack to power the LEDs, I wont be using the battery pack part of Jetfire. I'm not sure about the leg kibble yet I need to cut up a Jetfire and maybe a blackbird model kit. I want him to have the bulky look of the CG with armour panels on the legs, the kibble might help to achieve that.

Interesting. I didn't know you where going to do the jetfire combo. With that being said, it's probably best you do keep the kibble.

I think it looks great and all, but why do Prime again (going in generally the same direction)?

You missed some of the panels that are supposed to be in blue - those on his lower torso, near his shoulders (below that large red circular panel), and those on his feet. I love the paint scuffing effect you have going on, I'll have to start doing something like that to my figures as well. :)

He's gonna be a powered up Prime, I just need to get another Jetfire.

I didn't paint any blue on him, just clear over the standard blue. Thats why those pieces are silver. If I can get a good color match I'll do those bits, but they might be covered up when he's wearing the Jetfire armor suit.
