I recently began my first custom paint job, and was curious to know what the pros in the community use to remove excess paint from detailed areas, without fading or removing the factory paint from areas like the flame designs on OP's cab area.


Also, if these areas do get slight fading, whats the best way to go about cleaning it up and retouching them? I've had a hard time matching paint colors to the factory stuff they used.

Rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip can be used to somewhat precisely remove paint.
