Jetfire has gray in place of blue and Prime has his mouthplate. No sign yet if the transforming ion blaster is included.

 

Now I would definitely like that set! Is that a different Optimus head or does it just look different because it is painted?

 

I know how you feel. My Buster Optimus Prime arrived the day before yesterday's news of this set. $175 seems a bit steep. Hope other vendors could sell it for less.

 

trying to resist buying buster prime... must wait for the third movie's version... but it's so awesome.

If I see this in a Wal-Mart and it's buster prime with this buster AND the faceplate... I may have to buy this (and I don't have Jetfire, so it works out in my favor).

Kind of makes me want to stab myself for getting regular Buster Prime.  

 

Not only is JF diff but so is prime! Looks like no ion blaster for this one and you get a face plate. You see bravemaximus...you see! Little tiny variations to rape your wallet if you are trying to be a OP completist. You were probably smart in holding off though. That brings the total to $575 for this mold  

 

Nice that Jetfire got rid of the blue and has gotten a more appropriate color. Faceplate Prime should satisfy the people that wanted a Buster Prime, but with a faceplate.

Personally, I just bought Buster Prime (it's still underway), and I already own regular Prime and Jetfire, so I doubt I will pick this up. Wish this had been the original Jetfire, though!

 

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised either way if this figure has the gun or not. At this point, despite the Buster name (implying the gun) I'm thinking he won't have it to make the other one unique beyond the open face.

The only reason I would consider getting this would just be for the face plate head. My OCD just goes nuts have two different shades of blue on my buster prime. Hopefully someone would be willing to sell me just the head to save on expenses.

 

My initial reaction to this news is to plan on buying Buster Prime. I really want that Jetfire and I have him in an unopened box. I like this set, but not for the price. My only hope is is it comes stateside for $80 - $90 bucks.Then I'd have Two Jetfires and Three Optimuses. It makes me want to keep regular Optimus in box for a while too until we find out that this pack makes it over here.

 

Wow, talk about raping the wallet. I am still curious whether the Prime has his Buster rifle or not....

 

Hmm.... lets see here, 2 pack Takara released Pimped-up Jetfire! Nice. Also, it looks like the regular Prime but with buster paint-job. So fucking bought!!!  

Not going to be a Toys'r'Us exclusive/Walmart /Target with that bling touch-up's i suppose?  

 

So far it's only TakaraTomy.

I wouldn't be surprised if it stays that way.

Ok Red Leader is saying it costs $175, but the price is on RK is $109. Is shipping seriously gonna be $66?

 

okay no blaster no buy period if it has the blaster and it hits retail in the us then its a maybe with out the blaster if the price is right but if it has the blaster is bought on sight as long as the price is fair

 

If it's release on january first, distributors and retailers should be getting some clear information really soon. Crossing my fingers, that blaster should be part of the set.

 

He's not so much a Buster Prime if he doesn't have his "buster".

 

The gas tanks could be out-of-shot on his back, in someway, of course - or they're separate within the box. Wouldn't make sense for him not to have them. Unless they've redecoed the standard Prime mould, tho (hence the faceplate). Ah, confusion. Still, either way I'm personally content with my non-faceplate Buster OP, curious as this 2-pack is. Jetfire looks much better than standard, however.
