That now, actually looks kinda good. Almost starting to convince me that maybe it might be a decent buy. I'll probably wait til I see him in stores, then make a final decision. But you're pics are definitely helping movie Jetfires case with me.

I was already sold on him, but now I'm SOLD. As in "holy heck hurry up and release this Hasbro so that I can give you large amounts of my money". :D

I've already got my ROTF Leader Prime... hurry up with Jetfire Hasbro!

Peaugh: Is his landing-gear-cane attached to his hand, or can it be removed?

Can you take pics of his back without the Jet Prime gun attached? And is it possible to move the panels on his back to resemble the look he has in the movie, maybe even flip the engines so that the tailfins are at the top?

I'll try to get a shot of the back panel removed in a bit. As for the engines, yes, they can flip upside down if you'd like.

Do you think when you take the back panel pic you can show the engines like that? I'm curious to see what he looks like with those wings on top.

Awesome, I am officially sold on this figure, though I still may wait for a Premium repaint, or just do that myself with the first version of him. I also may get the Leader Prime mold too, but for scales sake, I'm going to try and stick to the Voyager versions of Prime and Megs. The underside kibble in jet-mode is slightly bothersome, but I can get over that. I absolutely love how big he is in jet-mode. It does help that the SR-71 is one of my favorite jets, lol.

Oh, and out of curiosity, any chance you could take some bot and alt-mode comparison shots with the Voyager Prime mold? (specifically the RotF repaint of it if you have it). Thanks in advance :D

Thanks! I confess I didn't watch the video because I'm already definitely getting it and want to keep some of the mystery for when I do. :)

Hey Peaugh, if you don't mind, can you take some pics of Jetfire posed so that we can see the extent of his articulation. Can you do the same for Power Up Optimus Prime? I wonder just how dynamic Jetfire and the combined mode can look.

I just can't get past the scale problem in combined mode. Prime is just too big. Maybe if he were a deluxe or basic... but then he couldn't wear Jetfire like a backpack.

I'm dying to see what they do in the movie. My money says Jetfire mass-shifts.

Hey Peaugh there seems to be two connection points for each foot. Is there anyway to give him more articulation by only connecting the bottom part of the foot and leaving the top part free?

Or maybe he's really compact in robot mode.

The SR-71 is very flat. I could see it working and them not being THAT different in height. (Prime is also very tall thanks to his lack of kibble and larger-than-average alt-mode)

Jetfire dies. Ratchet attaches an assortment of his parts to a weakened Prime. No mass shifting involved.

Wow, the way you display his combined mode really improves the look of it. Not sure why that wouldn't be the official configuration.

Cane or not, he's still a crochety cool old robot!

I was on the fence initially (due to the cane & beard-like thingie on his face) but after seeing this pixs by Peaugh, will definitely get it once it comes out.
