So is there any actual basis for this? Putting two Leader Class toys in a £80-£90 pack seems like an invitation to shelf-warming, especially when there's going to be another £100 package on the market.

I have to agree with our resident sledge hammer, it sounds like a shelf warmer

I do remember reading a rumor about a Leader Prime & Jetfire 2-pack. Personally I can see them doing it, I just don't think it's a good idea. I think it's going to be hard enough for them to sell $100 Devs. We'll just have to wait and see. Either way, it's not something I could see myself getting. I'll be getting one, maybe two leaders, with the slim chance of three total (depending on what their repaints are like).

Its possible it could be a Costco type exclusive? I remember for TF1, they released leader Prime here for $35 CAD at Costco which also came with Legends Bumblebee and Jazz.

Remember when Costco released Rid Prime and Magnus together in cybertron packaging it was like half price. If this is something like that part of me will be very happy and part will be bummed. I was hoping costco would sell devastator to help get the cost down. When they had ult bb he was like $30 off of retail

Even if this does come to pass I can't see it being especially popular. How many people are going to be willing to wait for the super-cool Leader Prime mold just so they can get it with the less cool Leader Jetfire which will be available separately anyway?

    Great idea...at first glance.

Sure, you're getting both figures for one price.

Sure, you don't have to go scouring every store to find the two figs.

Sure, it'll be a nice box (most likely collector's edition...or should be.)

    On the flipside...

You're having to buy both figures at once (and some people can only afford to buy one at a time.)

It'll most likely be a store exclusive, and if it isn't Wal-Mart, then people like me (small town, closest TRU/Target is over 30 miles away) will end up missing out because we can't get to it.

If it's a store exclusive, depending on the retailer (someone mentioned Costco, good point) some might stock it in very few numbers, so you're still shit out of luck.

And it could still end up an expensive shelfwarmer that no one will buy because they've already got the two figures long before the set came out.

So the negatives outweigh the positives, in my book. It wouldn't surprise me to see Hasbro pull this, however. They did with the first film. They put Voyager Class Optimus and Deluxe Class Bumblebee (07 Camaro, not the classic) in a 2-Pack for the European market (I believe it was Europe...) and it's still easily found on eBay, and I'm sure folks might even be able to find it in some stores.

I'll just buy him when he comes along, it's better that way.
