Cool, were is the rest of it? Its missing some vital parts like seats, roof and windscreen. I hope its a scout, if so i buy it.
Yeah, it looks somewhat...incomplete. Or maybe it's slightly miss-transformed?...I donno. I'm honestly not likeing what I see, but I can't really judge it till I see more. Also, I am starting to wonder what the heck is up with the oddball colors on some of the ROTF toys thus far. All this odd easter toned green and blues don't fit the "realistic" style of the movie line. I was a big fan of the first movie toys, but this miss-colored crud is kind of turning me away from these ones.
zomg!!! i dint care if that's landmine or not, that thing is f***ing awsome!!!! my be the only scout i buy!!! to me that looks like its better than the movie 1 version, with an exception the the missing windsheild, but i bet they just removed it to piss me off
Pretty sure Hasbro said some of the scouts would be in the movie, but only a few. (probably along the lines of Scorponok and Ravage i'm thinking)
I think the only thing I like this new mold for over the first Deluxe is the twin guns on top. That still doesn't make up for the crap the rest of it is. I'll stick with my Deluxe thank you.
It looks like either he doesn't have one or the Front windscreen has got lost someplace. Much thicker more sand like tires than the old mold has - and pure offensive weapons this time rather than Nitrogen freeze cannons. ---- I like the Original Landmine very much... here's why : 1) In robot mode he can hold his gun, or mount it as an over the shoulder weapon. 2) He's got actual movable seats in his vehicle mode. 3) The Japanese one has Rubber tires ! 4) But even the western one has working supension on all of the wheels (on a Deluxe !). and this is configured into his Automorph for the chest Transformation. 5) He fits together well in vehicle mode and does not come unpegged. 6) He's a Military Autobot - there's not to many of them. 7) Nice use of detail like the way his feet are made of his nitrogen tanks. 8) Movable hands and over all high degree of useful articulation on the robot mode. including on the head - which can look up very well and is not just limited to left and right like some are. 9) Play and displays well with other Autobots - and has a degree of future proofing as the NEST organisation also uses the same buggy vehicles in ROTF. 10) If you like the idea of OFF CAMERA Characters then he holds some appeal for that reason - and at least he's not yet another Bumblebee - he deserves some love for that reason alone - even Payload deserves some love for not being yet another Bumblebee toy. ----- i) Slight downers are sometime the mold does not hold the toes so well so you might have to varnish the tabs to make them a little tighter to hold well. And it's best (like Bumblebee's Shoulder pads) to varnish or glue on his Tail bar so it does not fall off so easily [I used varnish as it sticks plenty well enough to hold the part in place but does not risk breaking anything or discoloring the plastic like superglue does] ii) Sometimes the spring for the front suspension pops out of place and is tricky to tease back into place. iii) His head can pop off sometimes during Transformation - and it's a slight pain to move it into a place that hides it best in vehicle mode. iv) There's a lot of vehicles in the first movie and they have unique Numbers and slightly different kibble on them - so it would have been nice if the Japanese one had been numbered differently from the American one. v) He was probably more worthy of a repaint than most - but he's only had the two toys so far one for Asia and one for the west that are quite similar - a sand colored repaint or at least one with a different number on it would have been nice. vi) Some may not like the "Allspark Blue" deco on his head and details. ----------------------------------------------------------------- P.s I don't know if Landmine appears in one of the Videogames or not - but if he does then that is another reason to be positive about him.
Looks like a totally new mold that's only based on Landmine in vehicle mode. He transforms differently. It looks like his arms are formed from the back of the vehicle, while his legs are formed from the front. On Landmine, his legs came from the back while the front of the vehicle was his chest.
Not all that bad looking, and definitely a completely new mold. Can't really tell if it's a Deluxe or a Scout. Some parts look too complex to be a Scout, and others look to simplistic to be a Deluxe. We'll just have to wait and see. I might get him, might not. Looks like he could be a Movie Hound.
