the knee joint in my leader Jetfire is weak. the joint that is connected to the turbine. its weak enough that he cannot stand without support. has anyone had this issue? is there anyway i can strengthen the joint?
There was a post awhile ago about this and I said that mine were extremely tight.......upon messing with thetoy again I realized I was thinkng about the wrong joint. Anyway his knee joints suck. I pretty much could only pose him one way. In his crotchety hunched pose. You can't get any sweet poses out of him. I know he's old and all in the film, but his does F up mixmaster, so he could be represented in a better pose than bent over IMO. I gave up, combined him with leader OP and that's how he will stay.
You have to lean him ridiculously far forward enough so he doesn't fall backward. Or just lean him on the back of a shelf and call it good
Same problem with mine. Some suggestions here (lean rediculously forward $ lean him up against the wall) are good ones.
They annoyed me for a while, but yes, you just have to figure out how far he's supposed to be leaning forward. then he's fine.
so after posting this, i cracked open Jetfire's upper leg where the knee is weak to see what i can do. I stretched the spring, and that didn't work, however i did something more drastic from there and i made the knees capable of straightening out more. so now Jetfire is not as much in squatting position anymore, and hes a little taller now too. he doesn't even need the cane to stand or a wall to lean against anymore, maybe i can now make the cane/axe he had, i havent seen anyone make the axe yet.
