i kno there are like 2 or 3 but which 1?
Huh? For the ROTF line there are 2 Voyager Ironhides, both remolds of the original.
Ironhide - ROTF Main Line - Transformers Resources - This is the Wave 1 version, which includes a new head and a giant cannon.
Ironhide (Recon) - ROTF Main Line - Transformers Resources - This one is coming out soon along with Bludgeon, and is quite an extensive remold. It includes a new head, an array of new weapons, and some remolded parts.
As for which is better, i think Recon Ironhide will be the coolest version of the mold, at least in the ROTF line.
I have the basic Nest boulder grey Rotf hide.
Upon reading your question and your sig, I offer the following answer...
"I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together."
If you want to know which one to get, get Recon Ironhide.
If you want probably the best show-accurate Ironhide, try and dig up a TFTM Premium Ironhide. His head isn't as accurate as the NEST Ironhide, but the rest of him is really pretty sweet.
But Recon Ironhide is a bang-for-your-buck figure. He has a really thoughtful, imaginative and character-appropriate remold, LOTS of guns, and generally just comes across as a mean bastard.
what kind of a crap answer is that?
1. The original nearly all-black one
2. The "Offroad" version that's mostly blue with some grey and yellow details.
3. The "Premium" version that is quite like the original, but with more silver and yellow paint, more gloss, and a large autobrand on the hood.
4. ROTF Ironhide, which has a gray paintjob and new cannons, as well as a more accurate head.
5. Recon Ironhide, which is mostly black with some white lightning paint and LOTS and LOTS of new weapons.
If you want screen accuracy, go with either #1 or #3. I'm surprised the voyager mold hasn't been given the G1 deco yet.
Well, it was a lyric reference to "I Am the Walrus" which seemed to fit your somewhat cryptic question.
"I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together" is a lyric from "I am the Walrus"
You said there were 2 or 3 ROTF Ironhides.
Your question was not very specific about what you were asking (a bit cryptic)
Your signature references "I Am the Walrus"
The lyric I quoted is from "I Am the Walrus", mentions three people/beings, and is a bit cryptic.
All in fun, no offense meant.
Your question was pretty much a statement with a question mark at the end.
"Of all the toys, which two is the one you would most not if and was given?"
Which one what?
Jungle Attack/Recon Ironhide FTW!!!
I smell something epic in the air and it isn't success.
He quotes a song in a sig, then doesn't know the lyrics to the song he quotes.
as for the topic, i may pick up Recon IH.
I need a Bad-ass with BFGs.
here it is in a simpler form for those of you who somehow can't figure out the question: There are a few iron hides, but which is worth $20-25 ?
hey i sing i am the walrus in the shower!
So what you're really asking is from the different Ironhides that have been released in the ROTF line, which one is the best choice for the money you'd spend on it?
That, of course, depends on what you are looking for in a movie Ironhide figure and what would make it worth the price paid. Are you looking for accuracy compared to the movie? Are you looking for the best accessories or weapons? Are you looking for the toy that is most fun to play with? Are you looking for the version that has enough differences from the first movie's Ironhide toy to be worth purchasing?
I'm guessing you may have the information you were looking for from some of the answers here. Hopefully you can also understand where your original sentence-fragment question fell short and why it was criticized.
For movie accuracy, I have to go with the original version (despite the unfortunate head which they did fix for rotf). The premium was better in some ways, but some of the paint was tacky overkill.
For play value I suspect Recon Ironhide is the best just because he has so many weapons.
Since I go for movie accuracy/display figures I've just stuck with #1.
