    YES! YES! YES!

I have made another masterpiece thanks to a little inspiration from fellow member “warrentan” and his custom: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/342862-technobots-computron-maximus.html

Blast Off from the ROTF Bruticus Maximus set is the base figure while his drill cone is Throttler, Power Core Combiner Sledge’s Mini-Con partner.

    To make is drill engine...

    I did the following:

    A. Hammered off the rivet holding the radar dish
    B. Cut and sanded off the hole that held the radar dish
    C. Sanded and smoothed off the sides of where the twin handles are
    D. Drilled holes on those side using a 1/16” Dremel drill bit at low power
    E. Sanded off the outer holes of the radar dish
    F. Attached the dish using the flat joint plate from Energon Mega class Mirage’s left and right arms
    G. Attached Throttler onto the port behind the radar dish

As finishing touches I drilled holes on the front ends of both his arm cannons and his orange twin blaster, removed the “B” and “O” on the front of his treads, and sanded of the Decepticon symbol and replaced it with an Autobot symbol sticker.

The results of my efforts even surprised me!

The drill cone can be moved downto create the appearance that Nosecone is drilling down into the earth. The barrels of his guns are also moved down to make him more streamlined as this happens:

He can also assume other forms/modes!

Move the treads down, and he becomes a hovering drill tank:

Move the treads down and to the sides, rotate the turret and guns back, raise the drill upward and down and he becomes a heavy drilling platform:

In his alternate mode, if the gray cannons are moved backward and Throttler’s arms and legs are spread outward, he becomes Computron’s left leg:

In robot mode, the orange twin blaster can still be held, but in a more compact way. As for the drill, I can be used as a blaster weapon…
    [IMG]
and can be converted into a small dagger/sword like so:

The drill engine can be attached to his legs like so to create a “jackhammer” mode, like ROTF Deluxe class Rampage:

With his arms extended outward and the treads positioned to his side as supporters, he can hold the drill so he can drill into the ground:
Or hold his orange twin blasters so that along with his gray arm cannons, he becomes a quad-barreled fighter with the radar dish acting as a targeting device:

I REALLY like this. I would like to see a paint job that unifies the piece even more, though (specifically, the translucent parts). Great work and thanks for sharing :thumb

    Neat idea, with some work.

But I sincerely doubt that Throttler will make a stable foot once you've got all that extra weight resting on him.

That's awesomely creative. I love how Throttler looks like a splayed-out movie-style foot in leg mode. The Drill platform mode looks awesome too.
