Hey guys (and girls), been on here for a couple weeks and love the site. Gets me through the slow days in the office.
I've been seeing a lot of ROTF viral marketing this week and just thought it would be cool to have people post everything they come across.

Here's what I've seen so far.

Transformers Revenge of The Fallen Zellers contest to win a trip to LA for the movie.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen | Robotize Me ROTF Robotize yourself - pretty cool.

Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen - Login ROTF Digital Collector Game

I almost entered the Zellers contest, 'cuz it's Zellers doing stuiff with Transformers.

Then I was all like "Why the hell would I want to go to LA? I barley leave my town!"

Just for the record those are not virals, they're tie in promotions.

Virals would be things like The Real Effing Deal (although technically thats more an augmented reality site)

Hahah, You can enter once a day so I've been hitting it up daily. I can see your reasoning but I haven't been on a vaca for 2 years so if I can get a free one, I'll take it.
Plus winning the Toy prize would be sweet too.

Viral marketing can be anything online from video clips, interactive Flash games, advergames, ebooks, brandable software, images, etc. And promotions falls under marketing.
So I think those fall under the category. Just for the record. ;)

those things can be viral, doesn't mean that they automatically are.

Correct. I've always understood viral marketing to be indirect campaigns like that Real Effing Deal site.
