Didn't Jon Voight win a Razzie for his portrayal of the Secretary of Defense in Transformers?

Long past the point of caring here. The movie came out six months ago, I think everyone's opinions are pretty much locked in by this point.

I think he got something for that plus starring in Bratz. Bad year for Jon.

Fanrage, really? This is just the damn Razzies, a silly and fun little aside among the film awards season, and liked it or not, I've never seen anybody defend the movie as being without its flaws.

Fingers crossed for a few Razzie wins as people going ballistic over it should be some really fun posts to read. Plus the Razzies always make you feel a little bit better about the bad movies you paid to see and then wish didn't.

I'd like to know their thoughts on what specifically warrants the nomination.

This movie still gets my eternal respect just because of what ILM managed to make with Maya.

As someone who has actually worked with Maya, I just gotta say. Making things like Devastator in that Lovecraftian Horror of a program is akin to waltzing up to Cthulhu, punching him in the face, then saddling him up and riding him like a pony.

    Nope.
Got that right. There's a reason I use Lightwave - it's because it's actually fun to build things in it.

I lol at Sandra Bullock winning an Oscar and a Razzie in the same year. Hell, I'd display both proudly next to each other if I got them. Takes versatility to do a shit movie and a good one in the same year.

As for ROTF... *eagerly waiting for explosive fanrage*

What are you kidding? The Razzies are far more fun than the Oscars so I'm more likely to know who won the Razzies than I am to know who won an Oscar.

Not unjustified if you ask me..... Probably not the worst overall for 2009 but I would argue the nomination is justified. Megan Fox needs to win for worst actress though.

Regardless I'm hoping the Jonas Bro's win for worst acting :lol  That I think everyone can agree on.

Okay, I liked ROTF, it had bad parts, yeah. (Megan Fox is the worst Actress ever, next to the girl who played Leo) But I'm really sick and tired of hearing about this movie. Even people who've made fun of it have run out of jokes and moved on.

EDIT: Shit, the Razzies are an award? We're giving out awards for movies from last year now?

I meant on an industry level more than us. For us, they're funny, but I doubt that many in Hollywood give a flying hoot.

I'm with ya on that. I like what I like and if it wins awards that just means that other people liked it too and that I am not alone in my tastes.
