Its funny how a good paint job can make a FAB toy seem like a worthy purchase.

I bought Ramjet and Smokescreen just because of the color scheme - I passed on the original Starscream and Jazz FABs (amongst many others, the only other one I bought was the original Ironhide) because I found their color schemes really dull and boring. I did want to get the repaint of FAB Optimus Prime but never had spare money when he was available so I didn't.

What does all that have to do with the new movie FAB Optimus Prime? I'm going to pass on this because I don't much like the color scheme however when he is repainted, I may consider buying that.

 

I like that the cabin is level with the roof like in the movie. I prefer the leader class models though. This is a definite pass for me.

 

i seen this not compliment transformation yet, and the Prime figure is looking cool~

Can the people who take these pictures come out and officially say they're deliberately mistransforming the toys to build up whatever hype, because I cannot believe anyone would be stupid enough to consistently mistransform these toys.

 

I'm growing suspicious of this as well...mainly because of the picture on the back of Voyager Bulkhead's box where one leg is transformed right and the other isn't.  

Anywho, this definitely looks much better than the original FAB, just like the other Optimus ROTF toys are looking better than their previous counterparts (the legends and leader ones). However, I see this figure has Voyager Prime's backpack but worse in that it doesn't fold up this time (apparently).

P.S. I can't believe I didn't realize the chest wasn't transformed right until I read some of these posts pointing it out...I thought they just did a really bad job of replicating the design at first. -_-

 

Ditto. Man, FAB Prime is not bad, but the Leader Class Prime should easily rock harder and is a "no-questions" asked buy. Period. Oh, that and Jetfire of course!

You're not the only one. I'm also getting any new mold FAB Hasbro produces.

And this FAB Prime looks a lot better than almost any FAB from the first movie (with the only probable exception being Frenzy ... my favorite)

And to those comparing this to the Leader version ... of course the Leader is better, but you could always get both.
