It’s a sure bet that Hasbro will not produce and release ROTF Hightower (along with ROTF Overload & Scrapper) as either Deluxe and/or Voyager transformable class action figures any time soon. Not even for the emerging DOTM toyline. Spoiler has already made his own ROTF Scrapper (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/294674-rotf-voyager-scrapper-near-done.html) and devastation is currently working on his own ROTF Overload (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/360931-voyager-overload.html). Based on the design of his Legends class figure and his ROTF production artwork, I can only assume that ROTF Hightower seemed impossible for even the most seasoned Radicon on TFW2005 to make. But finally, after weeks of planning and thinking, I have made a extraordinary breakthrough, a first step, that will make the impossible, possible! HE HAS LEGS!!! The base for this custom is the Hightower component from the ROTF Supreme class Devastator set and the new legs themselves are made from the arms of ROTF Voyager class Mixmaster. As you can see in the following pics, the level of articulation in his new legs allows them to be positioned to resemble the production artwork as seen here… as well has resemble the legs from his Legends class form as seen here. Either way, he is balanced perfectly: Thanks to the numerous unique additions, alterations, modifications, and removals I implemented, his new legs fit perfectly under his alternate mode: In the pic below, one can see that even with the new modifications, he is still almost the same size as the ROTF Deluxe class Interrogator Barricade next to him. Which is why I have declared him a Deluxe class figure! Additional modifications will be implemented to perfect this part of my project. In PART 2, his robot mode arms and head will be installed. I’m thinking of giving him the arms of either a Lego Bionicle Rahkshi figure: Or a Lego Bionicle Mata Nui figure: If anybody has other idead/suggestions for this, please let me know ASAP. As for his head, I shall use the head from a Yellow KO ROTF Voyager class Demolishor I bought from KOTOYS.com and place it on the Devastator port... using the connector piece from a junk Rampage component from the ROTF Supreme class Devastator set. Hence the cut-offed middle section of the brown underbelly on the rear of his alternate mode so that the head can move and stay up in his robot mode and move and stay back down in his alternate mode. A comprehensive tutorial will be posted after this is fully completed! Until then, STAY TUNED FOR MORE UPDATES ON THIS PROJECT!!!
