It’s a sure bet that Hasbro will not produce and release ROTF Hightower (along with ROTF Overload & Scrapper) as either Deluxe and/or Voyager transformable class action figures any time soon. Not even for the emerging DOTM toyline. :banghead:

Spoiler has already made his own ROTF Scrapper (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/294674-rotf-voyager-scrapper-near-done.html) and devastation is currently working on his own ROTF Overload (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/360931-voyager-overload.html). :thumb

Based on the design of his Legends class figure and his ROTF production artwork, I can only assume that ROTF Hightower seemed impossible for even the most seasoned Radicon on TFW2005 to make. :redface2:

But finally, after weeks of planning and thinking, I have made a extraordinary breakthrough, a first step, that will make the impossible, possible! :thumbs2:

    HE HAS LEGS!!!

The base for this custom is the Hightower component from the ROTF Supreme class Devastator set and the new legs themselves are made from the arms of ROTF Voyager class Mixmaster.

As you can see in the following pics, the level of articulation in his new legs allows them to be positioned to resemble the production artwork as seen here…

as well has resemble the legs from his Legends class form as seen here.

Either way, he is balanced perfectly:

Thanks to the numerous unique additions, alterations, modifications, and removals I implemented, his new legs fit perfectly under his alternate mode:

In the pic below, one can see that even with the new modifications, he is still almost the same size as the ROTF Deluxe class Interrogator Barricade next to him. Which is why I have declared him a Deluxe class figure!

Additional modifications will be implemented to perfect this part of my project. :inquisiti

In PART 2, his robot mode arms and head will be installed. I’m thinking of giving him the arms of either a Lego Bionicle Rahkshi figure:

Or a Lego Bionicle Mata Nui figure:

If anybody has other idead/suggestions for this, please let me know ASAP. :redface2:

As for his head, I shall use the head from a Yellow KO ROTF Voyager class Demolishor I bought from KOTOYS.com and place it on the Devastator port...
using the connector piece from a junk Rampage component from the ROTF Supreme class Devastator set. Hence the cut-offed middle section of the brown underbelly on the rear of his alternate mode so that the head can move and stay up in his robot mode and move and stay back down in his alternate mode. :inquisiti

A comprehensive tutorial will be posted after this is fully completed!

    Until then,

STAY TUNED FOR MORE UPDATES ON THIS PROJECT!!!

    Transformable hightower

dude if you can give hightower a robot mode and combine with devastator this is all I can say "Hasbro should hire you" coz you rock. If you don't mind, I would like to imitate your hightower leg and put the head somewhere else so it can still combine with dev.

A transformable Hightower?  (I had to login to inlcude my opinion)

Now this will be interesting. I really like how well you have mastered the details from an early art concept on to your custom bot.
I'm glad I'm seeing people like you take on the movie based constructicon figures, as they must be the hardest to do, due to lack of footage and artwork.
Now Hightower is a figure I don't think Hasbro will revisit, but Scrapper I think might be possible, and maybe, maybe Overload, just because they appeared in ROTF. (overload was only shown as it's alt-mode though.:thumbdown  )

(I'm actually going to improve this concept art soon, so I can maybe improve his look just a bit. I want him to appear as powerful as Demolishor.)

nice work on his legs, just so you know, rahkshi arms are really little and are elbowless. Bur mata nui would work just fine.

    I'm inclined to agree! :thumbs2:

The hand-held flail weapon from Mata Nui (circled in red)...
would be ideal as Hightower's left hand wrecking-ball weapon (circled in red).

Unfortunately, the Devastator connector port is the only place where I can place his new head. :redface2:

Keep in mind that I have 2 Hightowers from the ROTF Supreme Devastator set! This one will have a transformable robot mode while the other remains a part of my ROTF Supreme Devastator set. :inquisiti

Are you going to give him an arm too? I have a suggestion for the head, if you want this project to be transformable and still combine put the his head on the front end or you can follow the concept drawing. Infact that's what I'm planning of doing to my hightower. I'll show you the finish product once I'm done with it.
