Here is my little go at upgrading Ratchet. I love the mould but wanted it to be more screen accurate so I added some panels to make the backend more Box like.
But what I really wanted to do was give it some much needed extra details and I put the hip kibble on ball joints. IMO I like it much better now I can get his hips clear of that junk.
Let me know what you think.

Sorry it took so long to update photos but I have been busy, our 1st baby is overdue and have been busy workwise.
So I took shots of the balljoint and where I have made a socket out of the old pin connection. Also I have tried to show the mod of the head flap, I basically took a thin blade and scrape over and over untill it budged. Also have a couple of new shots, including one with a suprise preview(see if you can guess the character!)

Dude - I've been working on a mod very close to this in my head - but haven't picked up the figure yet.

    Great Job :thumb

EDIT: can we see how the back looks on this mod?

Well that solves, like, 90% of the problems with this guy!

I will have to shamelessly copy you. :D

I really love that now you have room to tuck his feet up inside the Hummer. Why did the original design do that sloped back thing anyway?

Nice job with the hip kibble. That makes a HUGE difference. Can you take some side pics and what ball joints did you use?

I'm interested to know how you did those balljoints. What did you pull the joints from? I was thinking of doing something similar with magnets, but I'm going to wait until I see a better view of yours.

Given the rate of KOs - just wait a while...

The balljoints were off a KO. They were in my parts draw...should be easy enough to use any balljoints as long as they are about 5mm. Then all you have to do is use the existing tabs where the pin used to be. I used a rounded dremel bit to hollow out a socket shape.

Any chance we can get some better pictures so we can see how you positioned them?

Anyway you can show how you positioned the legs in H2 mode? Love the new look by the way.

Thank you so much for the new pics - they really help figure these mods out!

Could you give us a shot of the back of the robot mode when you can?

Cool updated. I was hoping you would take side and even back shots but the shot of the balljoint is great! Also, I didn't even noticed the head mod. VERY nice.

    Good luck with the baby.

Any ideas on where I am taking the Mindwipe mould?
