The variants from TF1 aren't exactly rare or sought-after so I don't expect there to be any.

wheelie since no one actually buys him so 20 years from now no one will actually have him =) the remainder of wheelies will windup in a landfill next to the lot of E.T. Atari 2600 catridges.

Bingo. We're talking about mass-produced toys from an incredibly successful modern toyline. I can't see anything becoming truly "rare."

I'm still trying to figure out why my Blackout from the 2007 movie sold for $38 on ebay last month.

Not really, things are produced on a much larger scale now a days and more people are actively collecting.

Exactly. People didnt hold on to or value toys in that time. Thats what makes them rare. There was no such thing as Misb collectors back then.

Even 20 or 30 years from now I can't see a MISB ROTF toy going for a grand on ebay like some of the G1 figures we see today.

I expect that the hard to find ones at the end of the line in fall 2010 will become the rarities.

What were the variants from TF1? All-spark bumblebee was a crappy repaint, not a variant. :lol

You sir got robbed. After having a loose blackout on my sales thread for $14 for half a year I finally put him on ebay and got $46 for him. Which is just stupid. I sold my MISB premium blackout two weeks before that for $50. And of course, the week after that another goes for $96. ebay is all kinds of stupid.
