Here is a quick photo review/feedback for Hasrbo's version of red Rampage. No differences betweeen the tooling for this one and the original yellow release. This red version is more movie accurate because as you know the red Rampage was the one fighting Bumblebee in the desert.

The jackhammer mode is pretty cool, although you will need something to prop him up if you wish to display him in this mode. There are springs in his legs give him a "bounce" when you play with him.

The robot mode is pretty cool as well. In this mode, you pull apart his front legs and then flip down his back legs so that he stands on four legs. And as in jackhammer mode, his arms have bulldozer tread "whips" on them. The claw hands also open and close if you wish for him to grab something. Overall his poseability is constained by his springy front legs and the lack of elbow joints. But on the plus side his hip does swivel.

Alt mode is a cool little bulldozer. The treads do not rotate around as he moves however. He moves on four little wheels on the undercarriage of his alt mode that are his front legs in bot mode. The blade on the front doesn't really go up and down to well, but that doesn't hinder his play value.

Good review and sweet pics. I've been waiting for the red version, and I'll be picking him up when I see him.

nice, just got this guy yesterday. i also have the takara version, which is even more accurate to the movie and is very much more red. the takara next to the hasbro version makes this look like an orangeish red.

Is the red the same bright red as ROTF Swerve?

Nice review BTW, i love it when pictorial reviews show the figures in good-looking poses.

The reds are not the same. The red on Rampage appears brighter due to the lighting. It's at least a shade darker than swerve with a little more of a rusty hue thrown in.

Got mine in the mail this morning, and I'm quite happy with him. Might be just because he is fresh out of the package, but the spring for the jackhammer leg seems less fussy than my yellow version.

I seen this at TJmaxx once, and skipped it..I had no idea...

Dozer mode is better in yellow..but the bot mode owns that red..

I notice that the OP states that in "jackhammer mode" he needs to be propped up on something to stand up... I don't get this as his hind shovel legs work the same for this mode as they do in his other pics. Anyway, yeah I always display this guy (both my yellow and red) in jackhammer mode with the back legs to help him stand just fine.

Most people hated this mold, but I always liked his uniqueness... Doing the arm mod, adding much needed elbows and articulation, only improves it greatly! Would has loved to have gotten the superior Takara paint job (love that movie accurate shovel) but getting this red Hasbro one via a decent junkion trade (for deluxe TF07 Brawl, if memory serves) was good enough for me!

Love this guy in red. I agree that the Takara shovel is nicer, but I still love my Hasbro version. Actually recently sold my yellow one to keep solely this guy.

There was a three-pack with Rampage, Bumblebee, and Ravage that had the silver brick-y shovel pattern if I rember right. So the Takara one isn't the only one.

Yeah, the "Rampage Among the Ruins" set. It was a TRU exclusive, but I have no interest in the other two figures.

Yeah, I think Ravage is cool, but I'd toss the awful Cannon Bumblebee.

The main image above make him look a brighter colour than he really is Overall I like the Hasbro one best for the colour accuracy but the other 2 red ones are nice too. especially the more decorated shovels.

It's nice to have the option of the centaur mode for the yellow one and the pogo mode for the red one to make them more distinct.

The only trouble with these guys is they really make me pine for the lack of Overload.

And I already have the regular Ravage, the Recon mail-away one, and the HftD Legends one, so I was good on Ravages lol.

I did like Rampage's more accurate deco, though, with the shovel and the yellow wheels.

    And Scrapper!

    Centaur...

I always thought he was like a gorgon..like medusa or something..doesn't he have a snake like body with arms in the movie?

ROTF is still one of my all time fav lines..

Yeah, in the movie he has the snake like body, which is more like the jackhammer mode for the toy. But the toy also has the mode where he has two legs in front and two in back, which is more like a centaur.:thumb

gotcha..I was wondering if I missed something..I always just thought of the rear "legs" as a stand for him.

Question...has anyone figured out how the front shovel hydraulic mount attaches? Ive had this one for years, and I have always been baffled by that. no matter what I always have this loose part in dozer mode..
