I predict the little hatchbacks will be Brawn and Huffer. Or CJ and Huffer. I mean those would make sense to me at least.

Sideswipe is ok. Blurr would have been better, being the fastest GM car on earth. Obviously Tracks is the best. Can't wait to see Devastator, my favorite combiner.

On a related note - get used to it, guys. The movie's not G1. Nor is Armada G1, nor is Cybertron Armada, nor is any of the series the same as the other. They all draw inspiration from G1 and all hail the source of Transformers, please don't think I'm bashing G1 because I am not. I just happen to recognize that this isn't the 80s anymore.  

I'm crossing my fingers for Ravage to be at least feline - the idea of biiiiiiiiig robot kitty is fun. And I second the hopes for Sunstreaker to either be in 2 or 3; make him a Chevy too so at least the twins aspect is the same!  

Speaking of twins - what other twins are there aside from from Sunny & Sides? I thought I saw Top pair back in the pages, but I can't think of many...would that mean the ice cream guys would be movie-original characters, like Blackout?

 

Very cool info. My inner fanboy is crying about the Jetfire/ Optimus combo, but my rational non douchebag side realizes how cool it'll look on the big screen. Sideswipe as the Corvette...again, inner Geewunner is raging but I can shut him up enough to enjoy it   Interested to see what Ravage looks like!

Great news to hear! and I agree Sideswipe is a good name for the Corvette! I wouldn't have minded Stinger, but I'm glad it's an autobot that really exists =). I'm a tad worried with the "raw" beast mode for ravage. Seeing as how Frenzy ended up, and them using "raw" I imagine that Ravage wont be a dog but rather some generic four legged beast thing. =\

 

You're right, it's not G1...but I would expect if they're going to pull characters from that period they should at least stay as faithful as they possibly can. And do ya know why they have pulled from G1 and nothing but G1?? because everything else sucked!! Armada...shit....Energon...shit....Cybertron....shit?? Yeah all you A/E/C fanboys eat it up

Awesome news, because my favorite Autobot is getting the first movie-based character design that actually blew me away. The fact that the other member of "Sunny Side" isn't around doesn't bother me too much. 'Swipe's really been stepping out of his brother's shadow in the IDW comics lately, so I don't see them as a permanent duo anymore. Besides, a further announcement might reveal Streaker to be a cast member, too, so I'm holding out hope for that.

I'm a little confused at the fact that Michael Bay seems to hate the color red in his movies, since Iron Hide, Sideswipe, Ratchet, and Optimus have all been drained of it to some extent. But who cares? That's what exclusive repaints are for.

 

Ravage would be sweet if he looked like Syd Mead's Aimee robot from RED PLANET, yes?

 

I want to see the toys, and holy shit Devastator will be fucking huge. I just hope he is super articulated and stable.

Also, Ravage having a raw beast mode...should be interesting...

And since the Constructicons are going to become a SUPREME-SIZED Devastator, that can only mean one thing: the toy will be HUGE.
