the molds are just too massively different. No saying an enterprising Trasnfan couldn't bash it to work, but I believe the poster's meaning was its not a simple parts swap.

I wonder if the gun from TF1 CC Bumblebee can fit in alt mode, and be held in robot mode. The head might be more accurate but I prefer the battle mask to the "OMG WHAT AM I LOOKING AT" look.

Eww, I don't like anything about it. My Bumblebee from the first movie will do just fine.

Have anyone noticed that Cannon Bumblebee is very fat ? I mean, he looks as though he's pregnant.
Like the fingers, but the whole arm is not detailed.
Very screen inaccurate. Bulky chest.
I was hoping to buy this, but I'm sticking with Movie Preview one.

Meh, he's different anough from movie 1 BB to make me want to get the inevitable Cliffjumper repaint. But if that doen't happen I won't lose any sleep over it.

Poor BB, this "deer in the headlights" head just makes him look like a scared puppy, not a badass war machine. But seeing as how the show-west footage made it see that Sam treats poor Bumblebee no better than a domesticated dog I can understand why the toy has to interpret that weakness.

I pity the poor children who will get so excited when they transform their brand new BB toy for the first time only to turn and ask mommy or daddy "Why Bumblebee looks so sad?" And of course that parent, having no TF knowledge, will reply "Oh don't feel bad little tyke, that robot has no soul, he's just a human pet."

Kids now-a-days have it so hard.

Im getting the idea his chest does break up in some manner.. Correct me if im wrong but I do see this seam line in his chest.
If mistaken, that chest really kills the look for me, I dont even bother the creepy eyes.

Oh we've seen it before on TF08. You're correct that the panel lifts up and moves, but that's all it does. The rest of the chest does not break down.

And that, to me, isn't a worthy transformation that would make it a buyable mold.

I don't get it. Hasbro took the past two years and got Optimus down to an almost perfect recreation of the CGI model. Bumblebee arguably had just as much if not a bit more screen time and he's STILL getting the shaft. WTF?

I like the more solid lookin chest and torso (my biggest complaint of the original mold). I can swap the head easily enough, but will probably wait for the inevitable repaint that may have a new head mold (or mask). Time will tell...

To me, the xformation can make all the diff... when I first saw 70s BB, I thought "instant pass", but then I saw the repaint over at
& the alt/perky chest position changed my mind instantly, as did the wonderful paint aps.

Can anyone post a pic of the chest panel more rotated so we can see how well that does/doesn't work?

For me, if the chest panel does rotate appreciably, then that just leaves re-mounting the wings on a sliding panel (to bring them closer together at the hinge) & trying to kill the diaper to make this mold really great too...
