Here's a lot of comparisons of the new bumblebee with shoulder cannons.
God, I'm going broke buying Bumblebee's again.
The new parts look as though they were from a scrapped FAB Bumblebee figure. Not impressed.
His back and arms are better, but his torso is an abomination.
That Bumblebee is just awful all around. The arms were almost okay, but they won't work on the original mold, and they just look like the rest of the mess that is the new one.
For all the sacrafices they had to make to do these cannons......They suck!!
I planed to buy this one instead of the Preview Wave one... Now I`m gonna stick to the Preview Wave one. I can`t stand those huge bug eyes!!! This toy is a disgrace to be called Bumblebee!!!
Do Preview Bumblebee and Cannon Blast Bumblebee have the same head mold with different paint apps or is it a different mold for each?
Was actually expecting the cannon Bumblebee to be better than the preview Bumblebee, guess I was wrong. Will be getting both of them anyways
I'm glad I won't have to participate in the race to get this guy.
No sir, i do not like it.
the lack of chest breaking up really just kills the look, and the new arms may be more accurate, but nothing else gained from that really seems worth it. The cannons are just kinda weak sauce imho. And the bug eyes are H O R R I B L E.
I'm really glad that they're making Human Alliance Bumblebee. He really satisfies all Movie BB needs that I have. The two new deluxe versions both have the same weird-ass head mold and other little problems that keep them from being good "definitive" versions.
I'm on the fence about this one. I like the deluxe Bumblebee mold in general but with the preview version and now this plus owning the first movie version (and the stealth version) I'm at a loss. I'm tempted to buy this and the preview version and then do some part swapping to give cannon-bee a cannon arm as well but I dunno if it'd work. I'm also disappointed in the lack of the robot chest breaking up like the original and preview figures. I don't see why that was left out.
On second thought.... if the parts all fit properly you could take the cannon arm from preview-bee and the head of premium-bee and put them on cannon-bee to make a pretty sweet battle mode-bee. Would be better still if you could somehow add in the robot chest with the broken up car chunks but I doubt that'd an easy thing to do.
Are you sure you can't transform more his chest?
Also would you be able to make the down part of his back kibble turn to give him that "insect four wings" look he has in the movie
Also, WHY DO YOU KEEP MISSTRANSFORMING THE BACK OF SIDEWAYS?
I don't know....this figure is not sitting right with me at all.
Just curious, but how do you know that the arms dont work on the original mold??? Do you have this figure already and try to swap them out?? If so they obviously dont work on their own, you would need to some how take the roof top from the CBBB and place it onto CCBB. If not, then are you just assuming that the new arms wouldnt work, or are you judging by looking at them? Please dont take what Im saying offensively, im just curious is all.
So the chest doesn't transform and he looks like he's constantly surprised. Glad I'll be skipping it.
Looking okay. Preview Bumblebee will be my "main" ROTF Bumblebee, though.
I've been studying the original 07 Bumblebee mold (I've been painting in fine details, etc.) and the arms and shoulder bits swing in from the rear to the sides. This figure has shoulders and arms that swing up from under the car. The shoulders and the arms are designed to work together.
Plus the original has roof pieces on the arms with the doors resting right against the arms in vehicle mode, where as the Cannon Bumblebee has the movie accurate arms, but they sit flush on the bottom of the car facing down, not against the doors.
I'm sure a talented and fully capable kitbasher could make it work, but for a novice or the casual kitbasher, I doubt it could be an easy job, really.
I'll stick with the 'Bee I have and just paint him as needed.
He looks surprised, and like he wants to eat your soul.
He will haunt me for years.
I like the shoulder cannons but its a little too late. I already have two molds of BB, I like this one but I don't have enough moo-lah for all these guys.
