Thanks man! This is actually the third BB'08 I've done, so yeah I've kinda memorized where all the details go and stuff. I'm letting the basecoats cure on my Sideswipe as I type this, watch out for it in the next week or so.  

 

Looks great. There may be 100 of these posted but everyone's interpretation is different. Just because everyone else has one, doesn't mean we don't want to see yours.

Well I'm not so much of a stickler for having faction symbols on all my TFs, especially when they're so big and toy-like, which was the case with the one on his chest.   I also painted over the faction symbol on my Sideswipe (coming soon).

Thanks!   I actually added some more stuff on this guy after the photoshoot - I cleaned up the paint apps on the eyes a little and gave him a real right hand with a removable blaster. I'll take update pics when I finish my next custom.

how do you remove the real eyes to put the little jewels in.

 

I didn't, and I'm not really a huge fan of those. I just painted in the optic details here.

I've been meaning to do something like this once I get a 2009 BumbleBee. Does the new cannon just slip over his hand? I'm guessing it doesn't fire anymore, eh?

 

The 'new' cannon is just the one from the TFTM BB'08. I cut out the bulky handle portion so that it can fit like a glove over the hand. It attaches securely thanks to a rare earth magnet on his forearm (near the wrist).

 

Cool update man. Should tell abX23 to through some tiny autobot symbols in with my prime decals for BB's head crest, hmmm...

 

^ Thanks man! I ordered some decals of my own from someone and told him to just fill up all the blank spaces with small black and red autobot/decepticon symbols. You never know when you need them.
