I'd take a look at a ROTF Bulkhead, but as soon as I see goat legs I'm out.

It could be ROTF or Universe... Who knows? I wonder if we're allowed to ask something like this in next q&a...

Sorry, but a big clumsy and 'stupid brute force Autobot would be right up Bay's alley.

I thought he would be coming out in Classics 3.0.

I can't remember which one it was, I'll have to dig it back up, but I remember Hasbro saying something along the lines of the Universe line as a whole not coming back from it's hiatus, just that they would continue it's ideals.

true, but the TFA character Bulkhead was actually one of the smarter Autobots. He was the top spacebridge technician.

But there's a lot more room to explore that sort of thing in a series. Judging by the previous movies, there probably won't be enough screen time to develop characters beyond anything more than simple clichés.

Ok, so Kickback is hinting that there won't be a RotF Bulkhead figure? Ok, so why did Hasbro specifically mention Bulkhead? Mentioning Lockdown specifically makes sense, as we already know he's getting a figure in the RotF toy line, but if the same, or similar, isn't going to be true for Bulkhead, why bother mentioning him? I'm not saying that just by mentioning him by name that it's guaranteed he'll be getting a RotF figure, but it does seem extremely odd to mention him along with Lockdown if they didn't have a reason to mention him.

Well they said Bulkhead would be able to become part of another line. Why would that line necessarily be ROTF?

These things are often in the works for a long time before they become realised. They've also mentioned a real possibility of Wheeljack and Drift getting figures, but we've yet to see either materialise.

Well who honestly listens to Kickback? ;)

Though going off of that, I'm guesing that maybe Bulkhead's going to be part of the next TV series toy line, which old Kicky was spouting off in that thread about how awesome it was going to be.
Because as I understand it, Kickster has insider connections to these sort of things.

I think there are three options:

He appears in the new "classics" line. HOPEFULLY a new mold. I say this because the Onslaught mold has a very suitable vehicle mode. The robot mode is not a good fit for Bulkhead, hwoever.

He could appear in the ROTF N.E.S.T line. Bulkhead seems like a good choice as a rival to Lockdown, too.

Or he appears in the new cartoon. Seems likely, Bulkhead was an awesome character that should carry on to more series!

The obvious hint is that Hasbro folks like Bulkhead (and Lockdown for that matter) enough as either a visual design or a character that it seems likely he will reappear in some form in the future, Exactly what that will be and when is open to speculation.

It happens from time to time. I guess you could call some formerly Beast Wars-exclusive characters appearing in Animated or Universe an example. Probably the best recent example would be Black Convoy/Scourge/Nemesis Prime, who is a fairly popular character that appears in several toy lines and media examples since RiD (though also easy, as it's based around the concept of 'evil' black repaints of Optimus Prime toys.)

    Yeah it sure does.
That's why Feralstorm, who drew it, posted it in the thread earlier.
