    The side by side .
I know allot of collectors are looking at the new upcoming FOC Bruticus Maximus and comparing it to the FP Bruticus Maximus. But lets look at both them in the same light without third party add ons.

    FOC BM VS ROTF BM

Wait till they make a third party add on for FOC Bruticus Maximus. Hasbro made improvements on the new one no denying that.

I don't count on third parties to do everything Hasbro should have done in the first place, and I don't think I should ever have too. I don't buy third party stuff as it is overpriced and also I don't have a way to buy it online anyway.

I personally find only a couple faults with Bruticus. He could have been improved with a Voyager Class torso, but that might've made him top-heavy.

As for improvements, he has proper hands, all five characters are separate molds, he is more imposing.

As for similarities, or where they are even: The individuals look cool, they both have good color schemes.

As for areas where the first is better: They used a larger figure as the torso, and he looks more solid.

The interesting thing the designers mentioned was the individual bots have both a foot and hand in the design , Making the new one open to customizing the build. Something that the Micheal bay ROTF does not have.

You know, I wonder how some of this stuff would look swapped around with Power Core toys, namely Onslaught with some of the military drones. Might end up looking like crap, but at least they might be proportionally more favorable.

Well I would say they are tied for me but with those terrible colours revealed I have to say Maximus wins by a long shot. Better colours, they have Earth disguise and the main component is bigger than the other two which makes the torso look better. The only good parts of the FOC one, IMO, are that they're based on a fun game, not a crappy cartoon and its feet and hands aren't made of energon/translucent plastic.

Edit: Also the separate molds are a plus for FOC is the separate molds.

Actually you can and I always use both tanks as feet and both copters as arms instead of mixing them like you're meant to. One tank is used as a foot but the other is identical thus can be used as a second leg or use the leg one as a second arm. The same goes for the copters.

If you are asking me which one is better with out third party add on it would have to be Fall of Cybertron Bruticus. I really think hasbro hit a home run with its frist really good combiner/ stand alone fig. im going to get three sets for sure if they ever make it in to stores.

But The FP add on for max Bruticus is still better and will all ways be what i think of Bruticus.

This is the BEST picture of Bruticus i have seen yet. It seems like the correct transformation and also for once the gun is on his back!

Atleast I don't have to shell out money now to a 3rd party company for $50 for like one of the limbs when Hasbro can make a complete set for that price.

They both look like absolute crap, but the ROTF benefits from having a kit available that makes it outstanding.

I wouldn't be suprised if it was this way, hasbro probably made the official picture via photoshop.

Actually, all a third party would have to do is give him pants and that'd be great.

While it would have been nice if Hasbro had made the center piece a voyager I understand why they did what they did. They don't really have an incentive to "do it right in the first place" as some people put it.

Even with pants, he still has no elbow joints or the ability to swing shoulders inwards. Even though FP did wonderss with the aesthetic of Bruticus, I feel like the most marvelous part of it was the articulation that it gave him in gestalt mode.

You know the more I look at this picture, the more I can accept the FoC Bruticus design.

Each member has hands to be able to form both arms, so one hand might be different from the other.
