Here’s my review for RotF Brakedown!

    Vehicle mode:

Brakedown is a Scout, and is pretty much the same size as the other RotF Scouts.

His vehicle mode is almost exactly like his G1 vehicle mode; same basic design, same colors, even the hood has red paint and a Decepticon emblem on the left side, exactly like the sticker G1 Breakdown had. He also has painted brake lights, silver headlights, silver hubcaps, and a small silver Decepticon emblem on his trunk.

Overall, it’s a pretty slick vehicle mode and would fit in perfectly with Universe/Classics toys.

    Transforming him is pretty easy.
    1. Pull the arms out and back
    2. Split hood in half and rotate legs around.
    3. Rotate the windshield backwards.
    4. Flip Brakedown over, pull the feet down and extend his arms.
    5. Swing hips up to connect to his torso.
    6. Fold trunk/roof/windshield piece back and rotate his head up.

    Robot mode:

Brakedown gets more color in this mode, with lots of blue plastic pieces. His color scheme is exactly like G1 Breakdown, with blue arms, blue lower legs, blue head, and red face (with yellow eyes).

Brakedown’s head sculpt is awesome; my favorite out of all the Scout toys. It definitely looks more G1 than movie-style.

Truly, Brakedown would make for a great Universe/Classics Brakedown; aside from some of his arm and leg detailing, he really seems to be more G1-design overall.
Poseability is great: ball-jointed head, ball-jointed shoulders, elbows on a hinge and swivel joint, ball-jointed hands, ball-and- swivel-jointed hips, hinge-jointed knees, and hinge-jointed feet.
The only slight problem I can find with Brakedown is that his hips don’t really lock into his torso, and it tends to be kind of annoying when trying to pose him, but it really isn’t that big of a problem.

Overall, Brakedown is an excellent Scout. He is almost flawless, and would be perfect if his hips locked into his torso. He is a great G1 tribute, and fits in both the movie design and Universe/Classics design (kind of like Bludgeon). Brakedown is one of my favorite Scouts from the line. This is one toy you should definitely buy on sight.

Bless you for having the foresight to not photograph him in front of a white background.

Thanks for the review. The car mode is almost too cute for a Decepticon.

I'm definitely getting it, and will be waiting with bated breath for the Sideswipe (and maybe Sunstreaker) recolor.

I'm not a fan of the spindly-looking limbs (arms especially), but definitely looks worth getting.

I won this and Freeway Jazz from the eBay auctions that showed up about a week ago. I'll put up a bunch of pics of Freeway Jazz tomorrow.

And I agree w/Vampyr, this would make a good Runabout anyway (Runamuck would look too similar, color-wise).

THIS! :lol  "runt" of the litter?! :D

... and kitbash it into a bigger Deluxe size class body?! ;)
I believe we just has another awesome head-sculpt, TCracker bro. IMHO, it actually suits the Classics/Henkei line better! :thumb

    Very cool. Instant get.

I'd be surprised if either of those happen, especially 'Swipe. Sideswipe in the movie universe is already well-established. Not to say they haven't reused names within the movie lines, but IIRC they haven't done so with on-screen characters.

He looks awesome. The best scout class toy I've seen yet for the movie line IMO.
