I was wondering what everyones opinion of him is as he seems to be a toy that has little discussion, and also in coptor mode, what is that little white pod beside the rotor suppose to be?

I'm not up on my helicopter "anatomy" but I believe that's the radar pod. Or at least some part of the navigational equipment.

As for the toy, I love him, but he's not for everyone. First, you have to like his general aesthetic. Secondly, you have to like the fact that he's got a very fiddly transformation that results in parts leprosy if you're not good at it. Thirdly, you can't hate the fact that his shoulders are only half articulated.

If you're a fan who can get by those problems, he's awesome. Amazingly kibble-free alt mode, a solid 'bot mode once everything's locked together, and a sometimes genius transformation (the way the tail folds up into a really tiny backpack is impressive).

I messed mine up bad. I attempted to use super glue to glue the tail onto that spinner port because I got tired of it coming off. However the glue seeped down and gummed up the gears. so after taking it apart and somewhat clearing it out, i lost a teeny spring that goes to the lever, and now the spinning gimmick is non existant which isnt all bad.
I am finding on mine that I dont think the backpack is clipping securely to the arm assembly, but overall is a nice figure and pretty ambitious for a deluxe. I think he might have been awesome at voyager scale, but again is still a solid deluxe.

The alt mode is great...nice and detailed for a such a small helicopter toy...but the robot mode is awful. It's a total mess of parts that don't plug in and it has very little articulation. I was very disappointed.

Probably the worst arms on any deluxe I've seen

    This ^

Blazemaster has an outstanding Alt mode, thought the white parts are an ugly change, clearly a cost saving decision.

Bot mode is not the greatest, and you may want to fiddle with the transformation to get something aestheically pleasing.

Erm, everything plugs in (or at least is restricted from moving, which serves the same purpose), and the only articulation he's missing the forward/back motion of his shoulders.

Yup, I've already bitched about it in a few threads, but this is by far my least favorite toy of the ROTF line. Just a terrible, floppy, mess of a design in robot mode. Things don't quite fit, they don't clip in, they fall apart. He feels like he was designed by an intern or something.

Now, having said that, I like how he LOOKS in both modes. The birdlike robot mode is a neat idea, and the copter mode looks nice. So once you have him displayed he is fine. But as a toy, he is awful.

My only gripe are the blades not staying in place. They keep popping off.

I love the doofy little bastard. It's a wonderful transformation and mine has no problems getting parts to peg in properly in robot mode. Transforming the arms is a bit of a pain, but is made up for by being able to split the blades and have two on each arm. I like him much better than the Sideways mold, which to is only meh at best.

Ah cool. Never realized that the feedback section was to discuss specific toys. Lock this thread as appropriate then?
