This is another project that I whipped up when I got bored doing commissions. It started as an entry for the Sector 70 repaint challenge, but I started modding it and disqualified it. (The challenge is no-mod repaints only)
Aside from the new head, I had to carve a bigger hole for the head, and then I modded the knees top bend more by cutting meat out from behind the joint. I also snipped out the little blocks on the windshields that made the flip up when the arms are extended.
The wheels are still masked, waiting for me to get back to this one.
He began life as a Stockade from the first movie line. The head is from Beast Wars Transmetal Megatron.

Wow, thanks guys! I really thought that this would be one of those projects that only I would "get". I did give serious thought to the Headmastering process, and I still haven't ruled it out. The black is the $1 bargain brand from Home Depot.
    Thanks again! Ook! Ook!

He makes an awesome monkey. You just need a panel to cover up that huge hole in his chest.

Any way to twist a jet mode out of it? Maybe add some wings to the arms that could sit on top of vehicle mode and look like a storage rack or something?

Looks great, TS! I've always loved that mold, especially the alt mode, but the bot mode just never looked right due to the "ape-like" arms. You utilized that and made something better with it. I still have one sitting here debating on whether to use it or sell it. Maybe I'll try something like this, if not, you guys will see it pop up on sell list. lol

Okay, I really like this piece. And I concur that it could arguably fit in with the classics line. Well done so far!

Niice! Stockade is very gorilla-ish and ^this^ should be sweet when it's all done.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, the head's a tad big, but that's what makes him so cute! Besides, I like that the head sort of looks like it could pop off and start running around on it's own, even if it can't. Yet.

Echoing everyone else, that's looking awesome and I can't wait to see it finished! I always liked that mold, and this is a perfect fit for Apeface!

Also, I don't know why, but when I looked at the title I read it as "ROTF Rapeface."

Thank you gentlemen. This is one of those figures that I picked up planning on doing something with and it just sat for months and months waiting for inspiration to strike. Then I finally looked at a different pile and asked myself what I'm going to do with all those broken BW Megatron parts, and something clicked. It seems like that's a figure falls apart like it's its job! Gold plastic, man. Gold Plastic.
Or bronze, as the case may be.
