As a Transformer and cube fan, I was pretty excited when they announced the Allspark Cube for the original movie. When they decided to cancel it I pretty much forgot about it until they re-announced a ROTF release this year. So anyway, picked one up from the Target endcap today and am overall very pleased with the cube. It seems to be lighter than my other store bought Rubik's brand cube but not by too much. The designs are nice with the faction symbols opposite each other and the Allspark etchings all over. As with any store bought cube though, the stickers are only average at best and will eventually peel with any rough cubing, mine will probably be displayed after a few solves. If you're a cuber and Trans-fan definitely pick this up for $10. I'll try to upload pictures later tonight or tomorrow once my camera charges.

Since you also seem to be a fellow avid Cuber, are there are versions of the Rubiks Cube less prone to sticker wear? I have to replace mine every few months when the stickers start to wear and peel.

How's the rotation on the cube, i have a speed cube i usually use but if it's anything like the ones where they rotate pretty slow theni guess itll be up on display when I find one.

It catches a lot I've found. A lot more than my regular Rubiks.

I don't know about avid, but a cuber yes ha, been at it for about half a year. From what I've been able to read online, no store bought cube is gonna have good stickers. Buying tiles or high quality PVC replacement stickers seems to be the best bet, although I personally have never purchased them. Alot of people recommend Cubesmith, but again I personally haven't bought from them.

It rotates better than my other store bought cube, but I don't tink it compares to a DIY. It doesn't have the same smoothness as my two Eastsheens.

I really have never heard good things about the Magic Cube brand. Tiles can be a good choice though. I usually order from Puzzleproz on EBay who sells really good DIY cubes for a little more than a store bought cube, but he's in the middle of a move right now and his store is gonna be empty for a while.

Finally got around to taking some pictures, so here they are:

After messing around with the cube more today, I can definitely say it turns smoother than my other store bought cube. I can perform simple finger turns with ease but corner cutting isn't gonna happen. Hope the pictures are good, if you have any more questions just ask.

Oh I heard that this was recalled because when people solve it all the electronics come to life in their house and attack them.

Solved it a handful of times now, no action. May keep an eye on the kitchen overnight though, just to be safe, ha.

Damn those pictures are awesome. I have an odd desire for a new cube suddenly.
