Here's a link: Former '60 Minutes' commentator Andy Rooney dies - Yahoo! News
R.I.P. Mr Rooney
"You know what's just ridiculous these days? The high cost of funerals. Back when I was a boy..."
I was never a fan of Rooney. But I'm not surprised about him just died, considering his age.
"Death and I are old friends. We went to grade school together...."
"I didn't get old on purpose, it just happened. If you're lucky, it could happen to you."
A wise but grumpy man. RIP, Mr. Rooney.
*looks at title*
And here I thought we had a chance of beating Manchester United this season... (read: just friendly advice that title is confusing and may lead to false hopes of league success)
Anyways, this is sad news. RIP.
Dang, and he JUST retired.
Moral of story... never retire..
Well, he had a good, long life, 60 minutes of fame (which is more than 4 people are supposed to get), and left behind a journalistic legacy. I think, sad as his passing is, he could be satisfied with that life.
So sad when he just retired. I remember as a kid my dad watching 60 minutes and he was there doing his commentary. RIP Andy.
RIP He was an interesting person who wasn't afraid to express his opinions.
And you think the two weren't connected? Besides he was older than dirt. And I always found his "wisdom" to be a bewildered old man railing against a world he could no longer understand.
And here was I hoping an over payed sportsman had popped his clogs.
Honestly for a second i thought it was Mickey Rooney.
