    Bizarre but amusing.

Wreckloose or Brimstone would have made a good core robot for a shell like that.

And another idea for shells would be based on Gi Joe Star Brigade or Manimals.

If I was able to attend I'd probably buy one for giggles (as I actually already have some Vintage Action Force toys already)

What the hell is that thing?

At first I thought it was based on some mid/late 70's gi-joe character, but when I did a search I couldn't find anything like it.

    ?

Also, Animated and gi-joe do not mix well.

so i take it if you live in the USA(aka outside the UK) then you are SOL if you wanted to try to preorder this and have it shipped...i hit the link but it said that it was not accessible and showed no way to place an order.

oh well, it is freaking awesome either way.

Not at all, it says on the item page:

"As a special offer, they are available to purchase by Advance Ticket Holders (please note this is on a 'first come, first served' basis and shipping will apply for those not attending to collect at the show). Any figures not purchased in advance will be available at the show for purchase.

For those wishing to purchase their Roll Out/ Roll Call 2 Exclusive Figure in advance, they are available for £39.99 after they have completed purchase of their Advance Ticket purchase." Treadshot with Kraken Bio-Armour | All The Cool Stuff

so for those who buy an advance ticket, it will unlock access to being able to purchase any of the show goodies: Roll Out/ Roll Call 2 Advance Show Ticket | All The Cool Stuff

It is based on one of the many unique characters from the UK toyline Action Force, which incorporated many GI-Joe characters and toys into the line too. In some cases there are repaints of the RAH scale and highly sort after by GI-Joe international variant collectors.

Here's the bio of the character:
    Code Name: Kraken
    Personal Name: None
    Action Force Code Number: None
    Primary Military Speciality: Underwater Combat
Secondary Military Speciality: Deep Sea Sabotage
Birthplace: Frozen Wastes of the North Pole

Discovered in suspended animation, frozen solid in the polar ice cap. Baron Ironblood took the Kraken back to his secret laboratories and manufactured an army of clones. Equally dangerous on land or in water, possessing super-human strength and a stun-net that can knockout even the toughest troops.

"A fearsome undersea creature. Strikes terror into the heart of anyone he encounters."

There is a whole wealth of information dedicated to the line over at: KRAKEN

Even though Snake Eyes had a cameo in one of the TFA episodes?

Cool that you've organised yourselves an exclusive toy, won't be able to make it this year but I'll definitely consider the con next time around.
