I was thinking today, and forgive me if this has already been posted, but 25 years of Transformers is right around the coner and there's probably a chance that animated will do something special.

For 20 years we got the masterpiece and battle damage prime. For a combined 500 episodes between America and Japan we got some sort of Transformers Energon episode which in my opinion was jst dumb.

My question is what do you guys think animated will do, if anything, to celebrate this triumph.

We're getting an entire toyline to celebrate the 25th anniversary. First off is a reissue of G1 Prime with a bonus comic, DVD and soundbox. Followed by that is all new toys from different generations - G1 Hound with Ravage, Targetmaster Cyclonus with Nightstick, Beast Wars Cheetor, Armada Hot Shot with Jolt...

So torn about who I want from beastmachines: Accurate Tankor or jetstorm, smaller nightscream, bigger silverbolt, dont forget Botanica. Thats a whole wave right there

I think they dropped the ball with cheetor. This is the perfect line to release BW Ravage in.

I say they should do deluxe Ironhide for energon,
I'll take a deluxe ransack from cybertron (I just loved that guy)

I would like to see an update of one of the flip changers or gobots from RID.

    IDW Hardhead to represent Headmasters

    Metalhawk from Masterforce

    Galaxy Shuttle from victory

    Dai atlas from Zone

    and Super Megatron from Battlestars

and a new Thunderwing to represent marvel comics

    OK enough day dreaming

Well I hope that the 25 years falls under Animated's jurisdiction this time and not some crappy anime port, that way if something special is done, it will be done by talented people.

    Windcharger has won the thread!

The trouble is that if we had a huge G1 25 year bonanza episode would we be able to tell it apart from a massive fanwank?
Purple t-rex, carhorn playing the old themetune, kremzeek, going out of their way to slam the 'ark' in to the side of a mountain, etc...

Personally, it'd be great if they had a real shut-in sci-fi nerd, armed with porn and comics and conspiracy theories who has built his life around theories of The Lake Eerie Crash (of 50 years ago), government cover-ups about alien robot life-forms, drawing pictures of said life-forms, chatting on message boards about alien robot possibilities, and etc. - only to completely spazz out when the Autobots emerge ("They don't look like I wanted them to!", "At least they're not beast-fomers, oh, hang on, that one is...", "So many references that only me and other board members would know about", "I can't believe that one is such a dick!")

Having finally turned himself loose from his basement flat to follow these transforming robots in person (his friend has a sideline in sculpting merchandise of them), he throws himself at the mercy of his heroes truly come to life.

Unfortunately, he choses Starscream and is obliterated.

The best way to celebrate Animated for the 25 years is CONTINUE it.
