Growing up I was a big fans of the Rocky movies. Well, now it's twenty years later and we're on the cusp of Stallone's final entry into the beloved series. He considers it his "love letter" to the fans that've supported him throughout the years. I'm looking foward to this one seeing as Rocky V was somewhat of a letdown. "YO ADRIAN!" "EYE OF THE TIGER IS THE THRILL OF THE FIGHT!" Anyways. It's getting really good reviews so I'm looking foward to this one.
I'm not going to see the movie but I'd be lying if I said that the tv preview ad music wasn't in my head lately during my daily jog.
I want to see this. I love Rocky, depite the series turing downhill after 3 I'm still up for it. If this one is as good or better than 3 it'll be great. And as for suspending disbelief, Rocky beat He-man in Rocky 4.
Already got plans with some people from work to see it Wed. night, can't wait! "Let's start buildin' some hurtin' bombs!"
Rocky 1-4 rocked. Rocky 5, not so much to me. I'm kinda pumped about this. With the technology now, I think we're going to see quite a film.
I'm really tempted to see this in theaters, but I'd like to see the whole series first. Yeah, I realize Rocky V isn't the greatest film (from what I've heard), but still, Rocky Balboa is the sixth installment in a story. I don't want to skip III and V. Thank God for Comcast OnDemand. They have all five movies available for free.
Huh? What's technology got to do with boxing movie? Especially a Rocky movie? From what I heard, he even uses old-school camera technology for most of the film, not that there's anything wrong with new or old. But I don't think we're talking a special effects masterpiece here. My best friend is probably the biggest Rocky geek in all of existence. He owns every soundtrack and movie and more merchandise than I thought existed for the Rocky franchise. So, yeah, we're going to go Wednesday night. I'm going to either watch him freak out in happiness, or mock him in his moment of shame. Either way, should be a good time. I kinda dig Rocky, but not like him. So I'll watch the movie, and probably enjoy it. He'll overanalyze it to the point of idiocy. So this ought to be great fun.
I don't know why, but I really want to see this. And I think I've only seen maybe the first two Rocky movies.
