They were tons of fun. Plus, any figure named "Crack-pot" is awesome.

Also, this should be in toyark?

I looooved Rock Lords as a kid. Still do. I'm gradually re-accumulating them right alongside Transformers. My favorites as a kid were the chrome ones, Nuggit and Slimestone, and Tombstone. I used to play with them in the garden, 'cause, you know, they were rocks. :)

I understand why some folks would find them pointless, but I think they kinda tapped into that "cool rocks" trend to which some kids were (and presumably still are) drawn. You know, geodes, quartzes, gemstones.... I thought those were quite cool as a kid, and Rock Lords sort of evoked that. In some ways they even kind of verged on educational... at least teaching kids that there were different kinds of minerals. Okay, maybe that's a stretch. :)

haha, that's a great way to look at it! I alway's used them as my "badguys" when playing as a kid whether they were against transformers, gi joe's or ninja turtles....even the good ones looked bad to me...because they were well.....rocks! Loved them though, and miss them..."robot's in disquise pioneer's"
