What the hell is this guy thinking? A mic, two guitars AND A DRUM KIT for less than $300 isn't happening.

    Nirvana is okay, I guess.

But, I wonder if there will be any Hillary Duff for it.

From memory, the drum and guitars are $79.99 each. The mic is $39.99. The game is the standard $59.99.

    Ah, here's the link.

I hope it has "Breed" and "Radio Friendly Unit Shifter" in it.

This is something I wanted for awhile and I'm glad its finally coming true.

And as for the accessories, I would guess you'd ether buy your item of choice with the game or they'll package it with a gutair and sell the rest seperate

The thing that's really interesting about this is that I don't THINK they're going to try to get people to buy every single accessory. A few hardcore will of course, but I suspect the idea is that you buy one, master it, and show off online. I can't imagine a scenario in which EA actually expects most people to drop $200+ on all the instruments and have the game be a hit, nor can I imagine they could bundle all of them for cheap, say, less than $100. Doesn't seem feasible. But if they market it as "you master the drums and only the drums, this guy masters the bass, etc", it could maybe work.

hum, this comes to the Wii and I buy the guitar, my friend the drums, and someone else we know the microphone, and we may.

but probably it will end up in two guitars and a set of drums

If they are smart they will allow you to pick the songs you wanna play sort of like in tony hawk where you can choose not to play some of the music tracks. Add that with the possibility of downloadable songs and you could customize the game your musical preferance

The songlist will make or break the game, IMO. But downloadable content would definitely extend the playability. Looks like mostly rock stuff so far, which is fine. I just hope there's some more popular stuff on there and it isn't overly emo (for the current MTV generation) or overly metal (for the previous MTV generation). I don't know how I could keep a straight face if I saw someone try to sing Dethklok in real life constantly.

Harmonix knows what they're doing with the Guitar Hero and Karaoke Revolution franchises. Hopefully they can also get the drums down too.

Makes me wonder if they will have online tournaments of sorts. The performances could be recorded and then voted for online.

I'm still holding out for Accordian Hero though.
