What you need to do is rest your foot on the pedal in the down position. Then when a bar comes buy lift and lower your foot. Also, on the singing, I haven't messed with it much but I think you can actually "hum" instead of sing. As long as you hit the notes you should be okay.
yep, keep your heel up off the pedal, it'll save you any pain, as well as help your speed when it comes to hitting multiple bass drum notes in row
Thanx guys...that helps alot. I still suck at the drumming, the timing just seems so different and harder to get used to, so im missing alot. I can only 3-star the easy songs.
When the solos come up all you need to do is press the smaller fret in time with the note on screen, no strumming at all. It only works with the smaller buttons and has to be timed and not held in advance. I tried it once but it took half the solo just to get my fingers lined up right so I just use the larger ones and strum still.
Yeah, thats what happens to me...I seems counter-intuitive to take your fingers off the frets to move them and find their place on the small frets during an important bit like a solo.
yeah, im really glad they fixed this for rock band, it's annoying in guitar hero, when you hear the guitarist tapping, but then you gotta sit there and strum the thing. well.. if you're good you can finger tap, but as soon as you miss one, you're screwed lol I find it's way easier to play the parts on a real guitar, then it is in the game.
Is the guitar the only thing wireless on the PS3? And how long are the USB cables? TRU still has a lot of 360 ones and no PS3 ones, so I might just go ahead and deal with the wires, though I don't really want to.
Maybe the Official mic is. But using the 360 headset, humming works great. I actually spent a couple of hours in the band world tour (which you can only do multiplayer) and it's awesome. Put the headset on and sang/hummed while playing the guitar. Never got below 3 stars on anything doing both at once.
I found it! Last one at a Best Buy a few towns over. My bud is coming over later, and I'm sure we'll be up late tonight playing this for sure! I felt like a pallbearer carrying this monsterous box out of the store
Walmart here has plenty of both...but I need to get it at TRU....damn I wish I had credit for walmart. Oh well, still plenty of other shit to play.
FUCK. Strum bar finally broke on my guitar. I don't slam the strum super hard either, so I guess it's just the design. Dammit, Harmonix! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Well shit. I guess I shouldn’t have teased onesock about his strum bar. Where is the paper about defective instruments…
Looking into it there is a clam that the problem will be fixed with an upcoming patch, don’t when that might be. With mine it dose read the down and I get the animation and points for hitting the note but then it immediately makes the miss sound and I loose my multiplier. So it’s like one strum counts as 2 or 3. That makes me thing a patch might help me. Another post I find: So I’m going to try out the drum, try out the mic and see what comes of this. If I don’t see anything happening in a few days I’ll look into requesting a replacement. In face I might look into that now,
