Well what they could do is put the RB1 disc songs up as free DLC for RB2. Problem solved I think.

 

I could name even more than that. Hell, I had a list of 12 literally seconds before I saw that list, and I only had 3 of those songs on the actual list. And I wasn't even done naming for songs for the 12 I had.

I figure that either we aren't done seeing Who DLC, or that there's going to be more Who in RB2. Right now I'm guessing at least Pinball Wizard is going to be in RB2.

They wont do that...unless there was a was they could only make it free to those who already own RB1. Otherwise it is giving it away to those who didn't buy the first one, which wouldn't be well recieved.

 

Don't think that would happen. If it did, people would only buy the second disk and borrow/rent the first one once to get all the songs off of it. By not doing this, they force those who own disc 1 to keep it and forces those who buy the second bundle to also buy the first disc too. So it is more profitable for the company not to include such a feature.

 

I haven't figured it up, but I'm positive I've spent over $100 on Rock Band DLC. $2 doesn't seem like much at the time, but it adds up over 7 months. Very, very happy it will carry over to RB2. I might even be tempted to buy the bundle again if (and that's a big "if") the instruments are really that improved.Then I'd have two guitars and could always sell my old drums and mic to someone second hand.

 

Wow this is a surprise. I think Rock Band is trying to kill Guitar Hero: World Tour sales by coming out in September. I bet money that Guitar Hero will come out sooner now whicj is a good thing.

 

Rushing development to have a release to compete with another game is a good thing? Generally that doesn't work out too well in the long run.

 

And that is exactly what Rock Band is doing.

 

When they say they're fixing everything the fans complained about I hope that means a guitar controller that isn't absolute garbage.

 

I will second that and add that is my biggest complaint about Rock Band.

 

yeah that guitar sucks balls. I know they were trying to make it feel more like a real guitar when you strum, but it just feels rubbery. And maybe re-enforce the drum pads EVERYWHERE. Mine is covered in so much duct tape

 

Most of the instruments in RB felt weird to me. And I hate the scrolling tabs, they're too fucking hard to see. Circles = win.

I don't play the drums,
But the guitar is junk.

The pedal needs to be metal at least in the places around the tension spring. It needs to have a better way of remaining static than just friction from rubber stoppers and the two bars at the base of the set. And it needs to have a better guide because it gets a lot of sideways motion.

The pads need to be re-enforced, or come up with a drum stick that won't inflict as much punishment.

The guitar is pretty much hopeless though. I may spring for a new bundle when this comes out cuz my RB1 stuff will probably be dust by then.

EDIT: Oh and I found a complaint for the mic  

Put a couple of buttons on it so you can do menu options without having to have a controller hooked up. ITs a pain to always find the controller after 4 people play a song and move around. And it will free up that other controller port. I play on PS2 and there are only 2 usb's so you cant run the mic drums and wireless guitar all at the same time without a hub, and you cant use 2 wired guitars with a mic, cuz of that damn menu controller
