No it means Rock Band DLC works with RB 2 and vice versa.

We're already aware that AC/DC is all but confirmed.

    God I hope that's true.

So - Rock band 2 is coming out in the US at the same time that Rockband 1 is released for the PS3 and Wii in Europe?! *Sigh* I think I'll be sticking with GH.

I wouldn't count on RB1 hitting the PS3 and Wii in Europe at all given that it was confirmed by EA this morning that RB2 is hitting worldwide simultaneously.

I love that GHWT was confirming that their (almost inexistant) DLC will NOT be forward compatible at the same time that RB said theirs was.

As long as I dont have to buy new hardware, i'm extremely excited about this.

I thought Activision came out and said World Tour would allow for GH3 DLC but not Aerosmith.

Either way I'll be all over RB. I might even be dumb enough to buy the bundle.

Edit: I think I'm wrong on that, since WT will be 4 instruments and not just Guitar.

Actually i think he was responding to TreKain's post about the respective DLC announcements.

Anyways, this is how you do a sequel. Now if only you could do a system install of RB1 so you dont have to mess with switching discs for particular songs.

Now that would be an amazing feature...to have a feature to "rip" the songs off of the disk to add to you library, if the DLC is compatible the songs on disc should be as well.

    Source?

By 'Worldwide simultaneously' I expect they mean on the Xbox360 - other platforms apparently don't exist outside the US.
