I haven't cracked it open quite yet. Gotta wait for the Giants game to be over :D

I'll post my thoughts in a bit. Anyone else pick it up today?

PS - I apologize in advance for this thread Twin Twist. But really, it's not my fault that you European folks get screwed over :(

Is it out for the 360 only, or the PS3 as well?

360 only for now. I think the rest of the systems get it next month.

I got my copy today and picked up the new drum kit yesterday. I love it! It has a great set list!

Picked it up today...chugging away at it. Its alot more polished than the first one. I love how the solo tour = BWT. So it isnt the linear progression that we've gotten used to. And that the mystery setlists throws in all the RB1 and DLC tracks.

I was very disappointed that the new guitars weren't available today, just the drums and game. I knew the bundle wasn't out but I missed the detail about the guitars :(  I hope the problem with the fan caps from the last game has been solved (although playing on expert I should be ok)

    What's on the set list?

I'm wondering if I should bother picking it up for the PS3 at all since I don't want to spend all that money for another drum kit and guitar.

well, played some of it. Like was said, it's much more polished than the first. Only did a few quickplay songs to get a feel for it.

Right now I've got my RB1 disc in and exporting the songs to RB2. Hopefully I'll have a nice experience with all this music :D

    And for Raz0rwire:

What detail is that? I was under the impression that the RB1 instruments would work for RB2.

They absolutely do. I just meant I was hoping to pick up a new guitar today, but the new ones aren't available yet. The only things you can buy today is the game (standalone) and the new wireless drum kit.

Amazingly, I was able to get it without pre-ordering it first (thank you Best Buy). Love the way they did Band World Tour, nice improvement. Only thing I hate so far is that I played for 2 and a half hours and ended up playing that damn Beastie Boys song "So Watcha Want" 3 times already because of the song sets. I already hate that song now, because it's simple and repetative.

Also, don't forget to check into the link on the back of the booklet that comes with the game. In afew days, the code there will let you get 20 free song downloads for the game.

The date and songs havn't been announced yet, but signs are pointing to it being more like weeks than days. The free 20 songs will probably coincide with the wide release next month.

A friend and I rolled up to Target to get it. The guy wasn't sure if they where supposed to be selling it yet and asked us if other places where selling it.

Just played a bunch of songs in band mode over live with said friend. Soooo happy you can do that now.

Thanks, I just played a Jonathan Colton set list. Still Alive and Skullcrusher Mountain.

*edit* I don't see anything there about importing songs.
