Lately I've been interested in picking up the Robot Masters Star Saber and Victory Leo set, but haven't really seen any websites that have them for sale at the moment.

My question to you, the viewers at home that may know this, IS:

What's a reasonable price to pay for these? I'm talking the G1 deco, not the repaints that came out shortly thereafter.

They are very, very hard to find. Your best bet is to search for-sale threads often. If you can find them for under $50 total and complete, scoop them up.

Well, bummer on the hard to find front. Hopefully I'll find them in the future and at least know they shouldn't be too expensive.

I'm kinda hoping Takara makes a new version along the lines of their MP Brave Great Exkaiser release.

The RM version is kinda neat as a downsized, more accessible version of the original, but it feels kinda cheap and oversimplified.

By some miracle, towards the end of the year last year, TFSource still had the e-hobby Decepticon versions of these two (not the deco you're looking for, I know) for around fifty bones. After hearing the good press about them on the podcast, I snapped 'em up. As luck would have it, they were sold out soon afterwards.

I'd say 50 bucks or thereabouts is the sweet spot. While its awesome to own Star Saber and Victory Leo in some capacity, they are basically big scouts and are still representations of 20-something year old toys and they show it. Which is to say, hyper-articulated they ain't.

If it floats your boat, there's also a close-enough-to-the-real-thing-but-not-the-real-thing knockoff that can be obtained for about $5 without too much trouble.

RM Victory Saber can cost at times, especially if you're looking to get 'em in the giftset form.

Saw one closed at USD $80 on eBay. :D
